The humanism, that necessary space of reflection, can be read from the perspective of what the accession of vital critical form means. A novel goes further away, from its textual form. It is a way of facing, knowing, debating and considering the world around us. This is why the fundamental axis advocate in this novel of Walter Rojas Perez, allowed us to establish a discussion about the meaning of humanism, the academic task, the approach of texts and the reflection of space in the classroom as a priority.","PeriodicalId":31478,"journal":{"name":"Revista Estudios","volume":"1 1","pages":"157-172"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46977695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The earlier and stronger human beings familiarize themselves with new communication technologies, the more questions are raised around the potential educational or, directly, cognitive benefits of these new hyper-technologized media. It is necessary to understand and give appropriate answers to this new media galaxy whose communicative power reaches traditional and urban societies, and it is as inescapable to illiterate people as to the powerful communication lobbies. A small but significant set of texts is introduced in this context as it demands paying attention to the irreplaceable power of learning how to write in a systematic and hyperaware way so as the threat of global cognitive dystopia in the post-Gutenberg era is averted.","PeriodicalId":31478,"journal":{"name":"Revista Estudios","volume":"1 1","pages":"152-172"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67290694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
