So how to track moving object steady, real-time and effectual becomes an important question that needs to be paid attention and researched. Based on the inter-frame difference and background subtraction method of comparison, the dissertation chooses a single Gaussian background model method for Moving Object detection of the video stream captured by network cameras, and then using the Meanshift arithmetic for moving object tracking. All of the above algorithms are encapsulated by Applet, so that can be used flexibility in web projects. At the same time an alarm module is added in the system to achieve SMS alarm function when the module is turned on.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116982440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this method, image segmentation is treated as minimizing the feature coding length. Image features are firstly obtained by any proper transformation that maps image data to feature space. Then a two-part MDL(Minimum Description Length) coding algorithm is proposed to encode image features: the histogram on each image channel is used to estimate the probability density function of the image features and the coding lengths foreach image channel and each partition border are summed together to determine the total coding length. A parameter free algorithm is proposed to minimize the MDL the coding length. We demonstrate that this algorithm can achieve good performance in visual evaluations with images from Berkeley image database.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122632950","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An efficient error concealment scheme for intra-frame is proposed. Spatial circular interpolation method is used to prevent the accumulation of prediction error. Meanwhile the motion vectors surrounding the damaged MB are used when all the adjacent blocks are error to improve the effect of error concealment. The experimental results indicate that compared to the spatial error concealment algorithm in H.264, the proposed scheme can restore more texture information and improve the quality both subjectively and objectively greatly.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129309090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To better characterize the alternative hypothesis, we propose to incorporate two effective speaker verification approaches based on weighted geometric combination (WGC) and weighted arithmetic combination (WAC) into the support vector machine (SVM) via a new sequence kernel function, named the LR-based composite sequence kernel. This new kernel can be regarded as a unified framework for characterizing the alternative hypothesis by virtue of the complementary information that the WGC and WAC approaches can contribute. Our experiment results show that the proposed sequence kernel method outperforms the conventional speaker verification approaches.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121387320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the least square estimation, the most popular method under Gaussian hypothesis, is no more efficient here. Firstly, under the non-Gaussian hypothesis of Gaussian mixture, the Crammer-Rao bounds of parameter estimation for the power spectrum density autoregressive model are analyzed. Secondly, the efficient estimation, i.e. the maximum likelihood estimation, is deduced. Thirdly, its simplification, the weighted least square estimation is set up. Finally, a numerical instance is given to illustrate the performance discrimination among the maximum likelihood estimation, the weighted least square estimation and the conventional unweighted least square estimation.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130046808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, we propose an algorithm of the NAMTS for binary images and analyze the total data amount of the algorithm. By comparing the representation algorithm of the NAMTS with those of the latest triangle non-symmetry and anti-packing model (TNAM) and the popular linear quadtree, the theoretical and experimental results presented in this paper show that the former can greatly reduce the numbers of subpatterns or nodes and simultaneously save the data storage much more effectively than the latter, and therefore it is a better method to represent binary images.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131604553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Digital image forgery detection has recently received significant attention. A fast and efficient blind detection algorithm is presented for the detection of eclosion forgeries. The second generation of Curvelet transform is firstly used to enhance the image, and then Canny operators is used to detect the edge of the enhanced image, finally the eclosion forgeries can be identified from the edge image. Experimental results show that the algorithm has less operation time and can distinguish the weak edges from the eclosion edges effectively. So it has a higher detection precision and efficiency.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131634765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For obtaining size, position and class of individual texel in a given texture, we apply an affine transform based method to estimate the similarity measurement between texels. In addition, Delaunay triangulation-like method is used to extract the triangular grid for describing the underlying texture periodicity. Our method can give further characterization for such textures when some useful information are computed, including the distance, direction of two adjacent texels. And the topology among all texels is also constructed for extracting the spatial neighborhood relationship of texels. We test our method on various sample textures, and give an extension on real images containing a type of such texture. Experimental results demonstrate that our method for regular and near-regular texture characterization is feasible and effective.","PeriodicalId":309902,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Multimedia and Signal Processing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130806463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
