The result of this study was expected to provide description of the How far has the activities included in StL model been applied by school, what challenges did urban and rural schools face in implementing the activities of StL model, how is StL model which could be apply in urban and rural schools locally and contextually. This research was multiple case study which was conducted by using a descriptive qualitative approach involving 4 schools spread across Sintang Regency, namely in rural and urban areas. In this case, the 4 schools are middle schools which include 2 different districts, namely Sintang District and Sepauk District. The technique of data collection used in this research was direct communication in the form of semi-structured-interview and the tool was interview guidance. The data analysis used in this research was descriptive qualitative, using thematic analysis and cross case analysis techniques. This language which was brought by the Madurese people as immigrants from Madura Island to West Kalimantan in the 18th century has transformed into a new variety of a language as the result of having direct and close linguistic encounters with the local language. The transformation seems to be apparent in the introduction of Malay-rooted lexical items and the understanding of Madurese stratification. Dalam penelitian ini hanya digunakan 3 tahap, yaitu tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, dan tahap pengembangan. Hasil penelitian pada tahap pertama, yaitu kesulitan mempelajari fonetik disebabkan oleh perbedaan sistem bunyi bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia sehingga menyebabkan mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengingat cara dan tempat menghasilkan bunyi. Hasil penelitian tahap kedua yaitu perancangan media ajar fonetik menggunakan website funetic.id. Working in a team is also important thing to train for the students in this era. This research focuses on using ICT based project in teaching activity especially in learning basic airplane components. The research involved 40 students with two classes of the year 2019. This research will answer two research questions which are (1) What are the students’ perception of the benefits on the implementation of ICT supported PBL to the language skill development? and (2) What are the students’ perceptions of the benefits on implementation of ICT supported PBL to the self-development? This research applied a case study. The instruments used to support this research were the researcher as the main instrument, a questionnaire and the students reports. Dengan adanya bahasa, manusia bisa mengekspresikan ide pikiran dan perasaan kepada lawan bicara. Melalui bahasa manusia bisa berbaur dengan masyarakat di sekitarnya, beradaptasi dengan budaya, adat istiadat dan norma sosial yang berlaku dalam masyarakat. Salah satu cara penggunaan bahasa yang lembut dan sopan adalah dengan menggunakan peribahasa. Peribahasa juga merupakan salah satu wujud kekayaan bahasa dan budaya yang dimiliki oleh berbagai negara, salah satunya adalah China. Di dalam bahasa mandarin terdapat pengggunaan peribahasa yang dikenal sebagai “chéngyǔ” (Karakter Han: 成语). Peribahasa mandarin merupakan warisan turun menurun secara lisan dan tulisan sepanjang sejarah peradaban budaya China. Untuk itu peneliti melakukan analisis kemampuan pemahaman peribahasa pada mahasiswa tingkat menengah prodi bahasa mandarin FKIP UNTAN. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penguasaan peribahasa mandarin dan penyebab kesalahan penguasaan peribahasa mandarin pada mahasiswa angkatan tahun 2017 prodi pendidikan bahasa mandarin FKIP UNTAN. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif yang menggunakan instrumen berupa kuisioner. Hasil analisis kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa hanya ada 30% dari total mahasiswa yang nilai tesnya diatas skor teoritis 50. Penelitian adalah penelitian RnD (Penelitian dan Pengembangan). Sebanyak 37 siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Sanggau sebagai subyek penelitian ini. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti tujuh langkah penelitian, meliputi : 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data, 2) perencanaan, 3) pengembangan produk awal, 4) uji coba awal, 5) revisi desain, 6) uji coba lapangan, dan 7) revisi dan penyempurnaan produk. Hasil analisis kebutuhan mengungkapkan bahwa subjek membutuhkan media yang nyata dengan warna yang menarik. Temuan lainya menunjukkan bahwa produk media pembelajaran bahasa Inggris berupa cartoon strips layak digunakan bagi siswa SMK. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara dalam matakuliah seminar dengan menggunakan metode Drill pada mahasiswa IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (classroom action research). Adapun teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik statistik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kritis.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan hal-hal berikut. Hasil proses pembelajaran mahasiswa siklus I persentase keseluruhannya adalah 66,40% sedangkan hasil proses pembelajaran mahasiswa siklus II persentase 78,20%.
