The analysis was conducted by dividing the thesis to be analyzed into the 1st period(1999-2010) and the 2nd period(2011-2022). As a result of the analysis, educational activities such as environment, science, multiculturalism, and community were conducted in connection with the region, centering on elementary schools. In particular, in the second period, research to reveal the identity of Jeju and various multicultural studies were being conducted. In addition, research related to the village education community for linking the region and school was conducted. Finally, along with discussions on research trends related to ‘Jeju education’, future research directions were suggested.

As a result of the analysis, the following points can be found. First of all, finding out issues that can expand the participation of major actors and strengthening the cooperative implementation system among them played an important role in achieving certain results in the gender equality village building in the case area. Next, most rural villages are undergoing changes in population composition, and a new autonomy movement combining issues such as culture and environment in addition to gender equality issues is emerging, raising cases of conflict over village rules and the need for revision. The solution can also be said to be a task thrown into the case area. In addition, the project to revise the village rules for gender equality promoted in Jeju did not proceed smoothly in all villages, and there were some villages that delayed the revision of the village rules or failed to pass the village rules revision agenda at the village assembly. When it is said that even sea water itself does not guarantee the realization of village autonomy, a comparative study on villages that attempted to amend the village rules is necessary.

However, in the 16th century, famine continued and infectious diseases occurred frequently. So many people starved and died sick. Also, local officials in Jeju Island did not manage well. In addition, the tax burden increased, making the lives of Jeju Islanders even more impoverished. Jeju Island was unable to escape the crisis as several disasters occurred in a short period of time. Those who judged that they could not live in Jeju Island began to leave Jeju Island. \u0000As the number of deaths and displaced people increaseds, the population of Jeju Island decreased sharply. The Government took this seriously. Because at that time, invasions of Japanese pirates were frequent, so it was important to defend Jeju Island. So the government pushed for policies to restore the population. First of all, the refugees who left Jeju Island and wandered from the mainland were repatriated. There was also a discussion to increase the population by bringing people from the southern regions into Jeju Island. Despite these measures, Jeju Island's crisis and population decline had not been overcome. \u0000Meanwhile, in the late 16th century, local officials of Jeju controlled Jeju Islanders from entering the mainland. the policy had the effect of preventing the occurrence of Jeju refugees and curbing the population decline in Jeju Island. Therefore, in 1629, the government authorized the Jeju official's policy and imposed a ban on Jeju people from leaving the island.

Fishermen’s associations began to be established under the Joseon Fishery Ordinance and the Fishermen’s Associations Rule promulgated by the Japanese Government General of Korea in 1912, and the number of fishermen’s associations had since increased to approximately 200 by 1942. \u0000The first fishermen’s association established in Jeju Island is Woljeong-ri Fishermen’s Association in Woljeong-ri, Gujwa-myeon in 1916. The association was founded by Park Seong-il and other villagers as the anchovy fishery in Woljeong-ri had the largest catch in Jeju Island. Later, the Chuja-do Fishermen’s Association was established in 1919; the Jeju Island Haenyeo’s Association in 1920; and the Seogwi Fishermen’s Association in 1925. The 1929 promulgation of the Joseon Fishery Ordinance led to the establishment of myeon-unit fishermen’s associations in Jeju Island in the 1930s. \u0000Members of fishermen’s associations in Jeju Island protested against the tyranny of fishermen’s associations, as seen in the 1926 uprising by fishermen from the Chuja-do Fishermen’s Association and the 1932 anti-Japanese movement by haenyeo from the Jeju Island Fishermen’s Association. The study on Jeju Island fishermen’s associations will provide an opportunity to learn about the modern history of Jeju Island through fishermen’s associations.

These Kaeryang seodangs are equipped with facilities equivalent to ordinary schools. Jeju residents promoted the school to ordinary School. School establishment activities were most actively carried out in coastal villages in Bukjeju. On the other hand, the villages in Bukjeju and Namjeju were relatively inactive. The reason for this difference is that the difference in economic power between villages should be considered first. At that time, Jeju Island had two large sources of economic income. One was the material of the haenyeo and the other was the remittance of Jeju residents in Japan. Coastal villages were more active in these two factors than in other regions, so their economic power was relatively dominant, and based on this, they led the establishment of elementary education institutions. \u0000The strong community of Jeju Island's village also helped establish a school. Modified Seodang was built on a village-by-town basis and was impossible to operate without the cooperation of villagers. The fact that many improved seodangs were built shows that the bond between the residents of Jeju Island was strong. As such, the establishment of an elementary education institution developed in Jeju Island, Japanese colonial era, is significant in that it itself shows the educational enthusiasm and educational activities of Jeju residents. And furthermore, such activities were possible in the economic, socio-cultural background of Jeju Island.

These earrings exhibit the characteristics of Thin Solid Earrings, and in the decoration of the bottom of the main ring, a specific fruit shape and heart-shaped decoration were identified in common. \u0000This decoration was defined as a Cape Jasmine-type, and was interpreted as a repetitive sculpture representing the era. \u0000This study discussed the origins of ornamental decorations defined as the Cape Jasmine-type (Sanchija-type) by considering the shape of the ornament, whether or not the Cape Jasmine (Gardenia jasminoides J. Ellis; Korean name Sanchija) was native to southern Korea, historical records, and the degree and importance of use in daily life. \u0000The authors reported that the Gaya earrings excavated from Gaya’s ancient-tombs recently have an obovate shape, a sharp trigonous shape with a triangular cross section, a spur shape at the tip of a triangular shape, a heart-shaped ornament, nationally cultivated domestication, an important food source, and firewood. In the characteristics of various historical and cultural records including Jacheongbijeon, and the symbolism of vitality and fertility, it was decide as Buckwheat-type rather than Cape Jesmine-type. \u0000This is a historical document that shows the importance of buckwheat, which was highly useful and closely related to the survival of the time, as well as the decorative function of earrings. Furthermore, it was inferred that the group that stably managed and maintained it played a role as the ruling class of the state. \u0000This type of the earring in Gaya influenced the decorative culture of neighboring countries such as Baekje, Silla, and Japan, and a common form is appearing. Therefore, it is expected that the correct regulation of the Gaya excavations, which has become the center of this type, can provide important meaning to the historical and cultural interpretation of the countries and regions of the relevant sphere of influence. \u0000In the future, for a clear interpretation of the shape and symbolism of the golden earrings excavated from the Gaya’s ancient tombs, the development process of royal power including the governance of Gaya, the history of agricultural development, comparison with related relics of Silla and Baekje, and comparative review of linguistic data Research is needed.

In addition, when research on Chinese history in Korea is very scarce after liberation, it was intended to expand the horizon of Overseas Chinese history in Korea through this research in the same period. \u0000The main fact revealed through the study was that Jeju Chinese formed a Overseas Chinese society through steady growth during Japanese colonial era since they moved to Jeju before 1909, but the Chinese society almost collapsed as it withdrew to China due to the influence of the Sino-Japanese War at the end of Japanese colonial era. However, after liberation, the Jeju Chinese Overseas society was rebuilt through the organization and operation of the Chinese Autonomous District and the opening of the Chinese Primary School, and cultural identity was secured. Based on these reconstruction activities, inland Chinese who flowed into Jeju due to evacuation were able to easily settle in Jeju society, and were able to carry out active economic activities centered on the food industry with existing Jeju Hwagyo. As a result, Jeju Chinese Overseas society showed an active appearance, with its population increasing until the mid-70s. it showed efforts to harmonize with the local community through continuous participation in local cultural events. This point can be said to be a unique appearance of Jeju Overseas Chinese in contrast to other local Overseas Chinese. Future research projects can be said to be studies on the trends and causes of re-migration of Jeju Chinese after the late 1970s, and the relationship between old hwagyo and new hwagyo which flowed into after diplomatic relations between Korea and China in 1992.

To accomplish it, the study used literature research and interview surveys. In-depth interviews were conducted from Oct. 17th through Nov. 28th, 2020, with the former four principals who had experienced managers, directors, or supervisors of the educational office. Major results of the study are as follows: First, the transitional process of schools in Jeju was revealed in four stages of fomentation, foundation, quantitative expansion, and qualitative transition. Second, the essential factors that influenced the transition of schools in Jeju were non-policy factors rather than policy factors on all stages except for the foundation one. The results would be used as the basic resources for future policy making in the educational office.

This writing covers tot-gathering customs and focuses on how the gathering customs are practiced depending on changes in conditions such as marine resources and ecological environments, residential conditions, and others. In addition, there is a brief examination of how the collected tot is consumed. \u0000Haenyeo (women divers) have recognized the ecological properties of seaweeds, fishing grounds, tides, winds, and more. They have undertaken diving based on their knowledge and wisdom of the haenyeo community and following environmental changes. Tot-gathering customs are examined in terms of the operation of the fishing grounds, collection methods, and principles of distribution. Haenyeo have used the fishing grounds depending on the operating rules of the ocheongye (village fishing cooperative), while the areas are managed through cleaning activities known as gatdaggi. Seaweeds are gathered differently according to ecological conditions, and tot is communally collected and distributed. Lastly, the tot habitat and the gathering period are considered as functioning as the foundation for the tot food culture on Jeju. \u0000Traditional fishery culture is a motive to pass down community spirit and traditional culture.
