The influence of these changes to workplace arrangements on workers' work-family balance is an issue of disagreement. This study examines the impact of work arrangements on the work-life balance of female employee in Jeju during the COVID-19 pandemic. We used data from the 2021 Jeju Women Workers Survey and conducted a multinomial logit analysis. The study revealed that changes in places of employment due to the pandemic had a negative impact on the work-life balance of female employees in Jeju. Policy considerations should focus on how the development and expansion of work systems, such telecommuting, work from home, untact work might affect the work-life balance of female employees.","PeriodicalId":308436,"journal":{"name":"Society for Jeju Studies","volume":"53 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140422029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paradoxical occurrence of residents fleeing to the mainland or affiliated islands, despite the establishment of a new dynasty advocating a strong centralized regime that reclaimed autonomy, was attributed to issues such as double exploitation. In this context, before the emergence of the 2018 Yemeni refugee crisis, Jeju Island had already experienced the refugee issue within our society. The influx of “refugees” to Jeju during the restructuring process of our social system by neoliberalism following the 1990s financial crisis can be understood in a similar context. This study examines the refugee issue and the socioeconomic changes in Jeju Island, focusing on the themes of border islands, mutual economic development, and peaceful settlement. Jeju, being the oldest border island in our country, holds a rich history of mutual economic development with the mainland. Additionally, the unresolved Jeju 4.3 incident is associated with the concept of “Peace” as a potential solution. Despite facing a situation where Jeju lacks support from the mainland, it paradoxically possesses geopolitical and historical foundations that attract international attention. However, sustaining an economy without mainland support or relations is practically impossible, and unilateral policy approaches from the mainland do not yield the expected outcomes. Consequently, economic support policies for border islands and peace settlement policies should prioritize effective support and agreements based on historical context.","PeriodicalId":308436,"journal":{"name":"Society for Jeju Studies","volume":"400 2‐3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140417349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, This is to revive JeongsoamHwajeonnori, which only remains in form, to further enhance its image as the state-designated folk village and to use it as a source of tourism income for the village. In Jeonguihyeon during the Joseon Dynasty, it is said that on March 3, People gathered around Jeongsoam and enjoyed making food with azaleas. This is confirmed by a number of literature materials, including “Jeongsoamhwajeonnori” written by Jin Seong-gi, a senior scholar. This was the biggest flower-viewing in Jeju during the Joseon Dynasty. most of the other regions were a female or ruling class-oriented play. On the other hand the JeongsoamHwajeonNori was hosted by the government and enjoyed by people of all ages and both sexes. Jeongsoam is located near Yeongjusan and Baekyak-ioreum, as well as recently established Seongeup Reservoir. If these resources are combined into one, there is a high possibility that they will be in the spotlight as a history, culture, tourism, and ecological belt in the future. Therefore, it is expected that JeongsoamHwajeonNori will bring such dreams and visions.","PeriodicalId":308436,"journal":{"name":"Society for Jeju Studies","volume":"17 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140418843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim is to provide foundational data for future selection of research tasks and policy formulation for the Jeju region. To achieve this, we utilized the Python program (version 3.10.9) and the Web of Science (WoS) KCI-indexed research paper database. All fields of KCI research paper bibliographies were collected, and an analysis was conducted focusing on the keywords of the papers. An exploratory analysis of research papers over the past five years (2018 to 2022) containing the keywords 'Jeju', 'Seoul', and 'Busan' in their titles was prioritized for the three regions. Finally, LDA topic modeling was applied to the Jeju region, revealing that research in the area has focused on geographical and environmental characteristics. Three main topics were identified: 'Local community education and environmental conservation', 'Ecotourism', and 'Local autonomy and development'. The results suggest the need for diversification in research areas, complemented by the unique characteristics of Jeju, to lead the local era through enhancing local financial strength via the cultivation of various future industries and the restructuring of the industrial landscape.","PeriodicalId":308436,"journal":{"name":"Society for Jeju Studies","volume":"62 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140419642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result of the analysis, first, important factors in the development of marinade by consumers in Jeju for the development of bulgogi marinade were analyzed, and as a result, 16 out of 17 questions were grouped into three factors to name each factor as appearance, raw material, and essence. As a result of analyzing customer behavior factors of bulgogi seasoning, 8 out of 8 items were grouped into 3 factors, and each factor was named as product satisfaction, purchase intention, and recommendation intention. Second, as a result of examining the impact of important factors in the development of bulgogi seasoning on product satisfaction, purchase intention, and recommendation intention, only the essence affects customer behavior.
