This topic is actual both for academic theory and for practical business, as in the current business environment there is the undeniable and rising need of fast, accurate and cost-effective acquirement of data for the purposes of process management and controlling. Technologies of automatic identification and data capture can be successfully used to fulfil such need, assuming the right technology is chosen. Results of conducted research show, that the radio frequency identification technology can be successfully used in particular components of Industry 4.0, such as big data, system integration and internet of things. The results also show, that only the ultra-high and high frequency variants of radio frequency identification technologies are suitable for the applications connected to the Industry 4.0 concept. The low frequency variant of this technology is too limited by its technical restriction, especially the low velocity and possible distance of reading, to be of any use for such applications.","PeriodicalId":30792,"journal":{"name":"Trendy v podnikani","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69084371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is closely related to changes in approach to information and its use. Modern ways of data sharing and processing are used massively, what is reflected also in changes of interpersonal communication generally. Positive impacts of this state are discussed at conferences and other events closely related to the issue of Society 4.0. On the other hand, it is also necessary to deal with possible negatives and risks related to use of new technologies that may arise in the future. Objective of this contribution is to explain and discuss selected aspects of society transformation to Society 4.0 which is based on specific principles. To reach the defined objective, literary research of relevant area and initial analyses of current state in the area of understanding principles of Society 4.0 by the representatives of small and medium sized companies specified in the research were used. Main focus was given to the new ways of data processing, changes of current conditions in relation to job positions, education and overall quality of life. Selected findings are presented in individual sections of the contribution. The emphasis was given on approaches to information and communication technologies and approach of individuals to changes visible in the whole society. New jobs are being created, but some of the existing jobs are disappearing. It is necessary to prepare and prove these changes and secure the labor market. The aim of this paper is to analyze the current state of the labor market in the Czech Republic, which is influenced by the fourth industrial revolution. The data come from the public database of the Czech Statistical Office. These are the official results of the Labor Force Survey in the Czech Republic in Q2 2019. The paper analyzes data and information on the structure of employment, unemployment rate, sector employment, age and educational structure of the population. Developments of individual indicators are then analyzed by expert evaluators economists. In particular, basic logical scientific methods such as analysis and generalization are used. At present, the Czech Republic has the lowest value of unemployed persons for the whole surveyed period. The distribution of employees roughly corresponds to the contributions of the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors to gross domestic product. The most important industry in the Czech Republic is the manufacturing industry. Furthermore, a significant proportion of the population of 65+ in the total population in the Czech Republic can be seen. Incoming changes have a significant impact on the required qualifications and the labor market in general. The primary objective of the Czech Republic should be to adapt the education system to the future needs of the labor market.","PeriodicalId":30792,"journal":{"name":"Trendy v podnikani","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69083575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Brand fan pages on social networks or online brand communities have become very popular online services. By creating brand communities in social media, such as Facebook brand pages, firms deliver unique and interesting content to consumers and fans and potential fans. However, empirical research on fan pages is still in the Czech Republic in its infancy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate if Czech social media users communicate with brands on social media sites. For this purpose framework using the application of Uses and Gratification Theory was applied. The finding identified that currently only 26 % of social media users in the Czech Republic are fans of some brand on social media.","PeriodicalId":30792,"journal":{"name":"Trendy v podnikani","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69084207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

I explain the difference between news and fake news in a larger context of the post-truth age. In this regard I argue that for the contemporary period there are some –although not revolutionary – differences from previous forms of manipulations and propaganda. I’m also convinced that there is not a such radical difference between news and fake news. Further, I define the fake news industry and its linkage to the related soft-power strategy as manufactured and disseminated by the current Russian Federation and its allied forces in Central European countries with some examples from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. I argue that social and identitarian dimensions play an important role and may be explained by new societal cleavages as well as by activities conducted by homegrown patriotic campaigners, citizen curators of information and useful idiots.","PeriodicalId":30792,"journal":{"name":"Trendy v podnikani","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69084410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This case study asks question how these young managers can appraise different situations and choose proper leadership style. A test called Leadership Judgement Indicator was used to evaluate this. It is based on situational leadership theory which claims that there is not any universal leadership style. Good leader needs to adapt his leadership style to exact situation. This test represents what kind of leadership style do respondents prefer and if they can assess different situations and tailor their leadership style to them. Due to this test, there are four main leadership styles with eight substyles. Test contains description of situations needing decision and evaluate correctness of respondent's answers. Managers of young Czech financial company completed this test. This company is about to hire many new team members and needs leaders who can help them to adapt to new work. Results showed strengths and weaknesses of group of young managers. Each of them had different preferences of leadership style, but there were common mistakes in this team. This was probably caused by lack of experience of respondents. Individual and group results were evaluated and there have been created recommendations for educating system. Finally, this case study show how Leadership Judgement Indicator can be used for this purpose.","PeriodicalId":30792,"journal":{"name":"Trendy v podnikani","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69076537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the paper was to describe the approaches to the classification of knowledge intensive services of the two largest studies - Eurostat, OECD and on the basis of theoretical theses to select the codes of activity that can be considered as knowledge intensive services. By this procedure, companies with codes J and M were selected. In the last step, a description of the profitability of assets, capital and sales of defined knowledge-intensive enterprises was made with using data from the Bach database. For comparison purposes, profitability indicators were found not only for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic, but also for neighboring countries (ie. Germany, Poland, Slovak, Austria). This comparison revealed that small enterprises in the Czech Republic in categories J and M occupy a very good position in comparison with four countries - the first place was recorded in the ROA and ROS indicators, Czech companies rank second place in the ROE indicator. The situation of medium-sized enterprises is significantly worse, especially the indicator of return on sales is at the lowest level in Czech enterprises. Furthermore, the paper graphically depicts the development of profitability indicators in an 11-year time series, where an above-average development of all profitability indicators was found with the exception of ROS in small enterprises.","PeriodicalId":30792,"journal":{"name":"Trendy v podnikani","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69083506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
