The existence of Omicron is still threatening, making pregnant women hesitate to visit health facilities. On the other hand pregnant women need information about fetal development. The aim is to increase pregnant women's knowledge about the efforts that need to be made during ANC and avoid the risk of getting Omicron. The method is in the form of counseling using the whatsapp (wa) group, because partners have wa groups that actively communicate. The material is in the form of power point accompanied by voice notes. The number of participants was 34 people who were located in Ngawen Klaten, Central Java for 2 hours, the pretest score of 67 increased to 97 during the post test. This increase shows that counseling with chat wa, two-way communication is still established. The delivery of material was well received by all participants, because they are used to communicating and even meeting in WhatsApp groups. Thus the participants' understanding of ANC during Omicron can be well absorbed by the participants, and they will directly benefit from the material presented, especially for participants who are undergoing pregnancy. Pregnant participants who attended this counseling had a better understanding of running ANC safely and effectively when Omicron was still a threat.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132978125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This activity uses health counseling methods through lectures, leaflet distribution, and training on making herbal toothpaste from siwak. This activity was conducted in collaboration with SDN 09 Pontianak and was held on Friday, June 24, 2022, with 53 participants. From this activity, the participants received education on the benefits of herbal toothpaste for dental and oral health. Self-care management is the ability of heart failure patients to manage themselves and their illness. Based on the assessment data at the service site, there were as many as 30 heart failure patients and 30 families with heart failure patients. This service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of families and patients with heart failure in carrying out self-management. This service was carried out in one of the health cadre's houses which was attended by 30 people with heart disease. Powerpoint media is used as a medium for counseling activities delivered verbally by the speaker within 45 minutes after evaluation is carried out with redemostration. The results showed that 90% of respondents understood the material provided, this can be seen from the response to questions and the desire of the family and patients to practice again after the simulation at the evaluation time. Self-care management can be improved by education and training through simulations. Good self-management in people with heart failure is associated with a reduced risk of death and re-hospitalization events. Conducting supportive education and training to improve self-care behaviors in heart failure patients can improve knowledge, skills, reduce symptoms, and reduce patient complaints.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129843602","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
