The research revealed 27 species of algae and cyanoprokaryotes from 4 divisions. The leading class in terms of the number of species is Cyanophyceae: they accounted for 14 species, or 35.5% of the total number of species. In second place belongs to representatives of the class Bacillariophyceae (19.3%), followed by representatives of the class Chlorophyceae (12.9%). Four classes (Trebouxiophyceae, Mediophyceae, Coscinodiscophyceae, Euglenophyceae) were represented by single species. Most taxa below the class (orders, families, genera) are also represented by single species. The structure-forming species (the most common) include 3 species of cyanoprokaryotes: Microcystis aeruginosa, Oscillatoria planctonica, Arthrospira platensis. The number of saprobity indicator species (degree of organic pollution) was 18 species, or 58% of the total number of species. Indicators of all saprobic zones, except for xenosaprobic ones, were revealed. The degree of organic pollution was 2.96, which corresponds to the mesosaprobic zone. There is no correlation between the number of species and seasonality, and the communities are relatively stable. It can be concluded that the cyanoprokaryotic-algal communities of activated sludge of biological treatment facilities in the city of Meleuz are characterized by a poor species composition, with a predominance of zionoprokaryotes. The level of organic pollution corresponds to a moderately polluted area.","PeriodicalId":305989,"journal":{"name":"Issues of modern algology (Вопросы современной альгологии)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117134896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The high efficiency of bioindication of water quality and the state of ecosystems based on diatoms have been shown for the water quality assessment and anthropogenic loads rationing on water resources of high latitudes. Diatom assemblages from lake sediments of different types of aquatic ecosystems reflect the present-day warming of the Arctic climate and the effects of aerotechnogenic pollution. Diatom assemblages of surface (0–1 cm) layers of lake sediments could well serve for the integral assessment of the state of ecosystems and water quality. Diatoms diversity of the Green Belt of Fennoscandia in the territory of the Murmansk region has been investigated.","PeriodicalId":305989,"journal":{"name":"Issues of modern algology (Вопросы современной альгологии)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123230570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The equation allows estimating the relative content of chlorophyll in algae in a wide range of temperature and light conditions. According to the results of calculations, the power relationship between temperature and organic carbon and chlorophyll was determined. The highest values of the relative content of chlorophyll were observed at high light intensity and low temperature, the minimum ones were at high temperature and low light intensity. At high density of the light flux, the effect of temperature on the specific content of chlorophyll in algae is more pronounced than at low irradiance.","PeriodicalId":305989,"journal":{"name":"Issues of modern algology (Вопросы современной альгологии)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123707639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The lakes are located in the steppe zone within the Chebakovo-Balakhtinsky and Minusinsky basins of the Nazarov-Minusinsky intermountain depression. The mineralization of water in the lakes for the study period was: 15,9–21,9 g/l (Lake Shira); 52,7–115,07 g/l (Lake Tus); 18,3–21,7 g/l (Lake Ulugkol); 42,7 g/l (Lake Altaiskoe). The values of pH of the water lakes are alkaline – 8,2–9,8. In plankton, benthos and periphyton of 4 lakes we found 30 species of green algae belonging to 5 classes, 10 orders, 17 families, 22 genera. Cladophora glomerata and Oocystis submarina species were discovered in all the lakes surveyed. In different algae communities, along with cyanoprokaryotes and diatoms from green algae, the following species dominated: Botryococcus braunii, Chlorella chlorelloides, Cladophora glomerata, Cladophora sp., Dunaliella salina, Hindakia tetrachotoma, Oocystis submarina, Rhizoclonium hieroglyphicum, R. riparium, Spermatozopsis exsultans, Sphaerocystis planctonica. Among them, highly active species with a relative frequency of occurrence of 74–50 % were: Dunaliella salina (in lakes Ulugkol and Altaiskoe), Sphaerocystis planctonica and Oocystis submarina (in lake Ulugkol). Rare species for the flora of the region are noted: Picocystis salinarum – in lake Altaiskoe, Percursaria percursa – in the lake Tus. In relation to water mineralization, the green algae of the studied lakes belonged to the groups of indifferents, halophiles, and polygalobes.","PeriodicalId":305989,"journal":{"name":"Issues of modern algology (Вопросы современной альгологии)","volume":"60 30","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120886292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lake Chernoe is characterized by a greater number of species (26), the presence of halophilic species, as well as the prevalence of indicators of alkaline reaction of the environment. A feature of Lake Pustoye is the complete absence of halophilic forms and the predominance of species that prefer an acidic water reaction. A greater number of planktonic species was characteristic of Lake Chernoe due to the greater depths of this karst reservoir.
