The main objective of ELED is to schedule the committed generating units to supply power at optimum operation and minimum fossil fuel emission. In this paper, biomass energy is integrated gradually into an IEEE 30 bus test system comprising 6 generating units to reduce the conventional fuel ratio and maintain the total generated power up to seven hundred megawatts. Adding biomass as a fuel will drastically reduce the emissions from the conventional fossil fuels. The model consists of the fuel cost objective function, emission-level target produced by conventional thermal generators and the operational cost generated partially by biomass. The effectiveness of the suggested ELED model is tested on the conventional thermal generation system and the modified biomass-thermal power generation system using a modified ant lion optimization algorithm (MALO). The results of the optimized ELED biomass-using MALO are tested and validated using three different optimization techniques. These techniques are Simulated Annealing (SA), BAT and Quadratic Programming and Equal Increment Cost Criterion (QPEICC) algorithms. The results prove the effectiveness of the integrated biomass model based on MALO algorithm by minimizing the emission value, the fuel cost, and the power losses.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130419079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All of us have been affected one way or another, although elderly people have been hit the hardest, meaning that they had to live with a certain degree of isolation in order to protect themselves from the disease caused by Sars-CoV-2virus. In this paper, a project for remote monitoring isolated patients is proposed, by implementing a surveillance system which senses different variables related to their own biomedical conditions, the environmental conditions of their homes and some special emergency conditions, and in turn, they are sent over to the cloud, where a monitoring team may get and process them, or otherwise, specific users may have access to them.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116567732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, DSP is considered the backbone of SG that will meet future needs. The DSP interactions within SG are vital for SG reliability and efficiency. The advanced techniques for DSP interactions within SG are playing a pivotal role in improving the Power Quality (PQ). PQ includes technical challenges, such as instrumentation, measurement, and DSP techniques to increase knowledge of disturbances suffered by SG. PQ disturbances can have significantly different parameters and SG must deal with wide ranges of voltage and current magnitude disturbances, frequency drifts, and duration of disturbances. Power electronic components, such as (a) AC/DC converters, (b) adjustable-speed drives, (c) inverters, and (d) light dimmer controls the flow of power by de-shaping, flattening, or chopping sinusoidal power system voltages and currents. The aforementioned distortion of waveforms can affect PQ and create problems for nearby loads. SG ensures to operate linear and non-linear loads: (a) without damaging them, and (b) without reducing the efficiency of the power system.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124313192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The investigation exploits the electrical length of quarter-wavelength microstrip transmission lines, and the guided-wavelength of the lines at one giga-Hertz frequency, in achieving the T-junction design formulation. This novel design would eradicate the uncertainties associated with frequent tuning and optimisation of T-junctions to achieve the desired energy distribution in diplexer designs. A prototype diplexer for separating the transmit from the receive frequencies within the front end of a wireless cellular base station is investigated and used to demonstrate the new design method. The prototype microwave diplexer with Tx and Rx centre frequencies of 2680 MHz and 3000 MHz, respectively, have been designed, implemented using microstrip, simulated, and presented. The simulation results of the circuit model and that of the microstrip layout prototype diplexer, demonstrate decent agreement with a high isolation of better than 50 dB between the transmit (Tx) and the receive (Rx) channels. The in-band lowest insertion loss is located at 1.1 dB, with a better than 20 dB in-band return loss across both the Tx and Rx bands.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124370632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the only one fire laboratory in Indonesia, furnaces in the laboratory are quite old and operated manually both in monitoring and controlling. This study aims to develop a monitoring system of temperatures of furnace and unexposed surface of specimen test for the fire resistance test. The developed system consists of three main parts: hardware, electronics, and software. The hardware system included sensors thermocouple type K and LM35, power supply, and a case-box. Electronics system used Arduino Mega 2560 as main microcontroller and other components such as MAX 6675, etc. Software system managed data communication between the furnace and human through graphical user interface (GUI). Writing code in Arduino was carried out using Arduino IDE while GUI was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio. The results demonstrated that the developed system was able to measure and read the temperature of both the furnace and specimen test in real time. The both measurement results could be monitored through graphical user interface (GUI), including the average values of both results. The acquisitioned data were able to convert into excel file (.xls) and stored them into memory card. Nevertheless, further development is required particularly to control the fire in furnace automatically.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132338961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To guarantee the best motion tracking and stability, a Backstepping controller is adopted for each robot. The path following approach in the quadrotor controller removes any time dependence of the problem to improve the performance in presence of uncertainties and fast motion. A real-time path of the quadrotor is planned using the potential field method to track a moving ground robot target. The motion planning system provides the quadrotor with the appropriate attractive forces as a function of the relative position and velocity of the target with respect to the quadrotor. The implementation of the proposed controllers on real robots shows smooth convergence to the path with unsaturated control signals, in addition to smaller transient error and a stronger robustness.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130038734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three different flyback designs with Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM), Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) and quasi-resonant (QR) are put into consideration. The results show that unlike conventional flyback converter, which works in hard switching region, the QR flyback converter has fewer switching losses and lower electromagnetic interference (EMI) thanks to switching on the MOSFET at the valley point. For validation purposes, a 70 W QR flyback LED driver prototype is designed and tested in the laboratory. Experimental results indicate that at rated load condition, efficiency is approximately 91.3 % with Power Factor (PF) higher than 0.98, and THD lower than 7 % at universal input voltage.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133908032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The versatility and flexibility of this technology has made it possible for its use and application to enhance technological development in different fields of application around the world. However, in Latin American countries such as Peru, there is a lack of culturally relevant web applications applied in the socio-political field. On the other hand, since 2018 to date, many social and political movements have been making efforts to obtain perspectives and demands from citizens to promote a constituent process in Peru, efforts that to date have not achieved the expected results. In this context, the present research project aims to design and implement a Bilingual Participative Argumentation Web Platform based on a Participatory Argumentation Model in terms of Duties, Rights, Values, Policies and Facts. The methodology for the development of the web platform is WSDM (Web Semantics Design Method). The system architecture has 03 layers: View layer, Application layer and Data layer and uses the MVC (Model-Views-Controllers) as the system architecture pattern. To get a web platform culturally relevant, the API “Siminchikkunarayku” was natively integrated into the backend of the system. This web platform is considered important as a research medium because of the bilingual (Spanish/Quechua) structured corpus that will be achieved in the medium term. As a result of this phase of the research, the Bilingual Participatory Argumentation Web Platform is available on the web, which strengthens e-Participation under the Bottom-Up approach and contributes to the preservation of Quechua.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130855192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
