Gesture recognition is the mathematical interpretation of a human motion by a computing device. It is often used hand gestures for input commands in personal computers. By recognizing the hand gesture as input, it allows the user to access the computer interactively and makes interaction more natural. This paper presents a finger detection application by using Kinect. Kinect is a depth sensor that is an effective device to capture the gesture in real-time. To detect and recognize the fingertips, it needs to extract the detail of the captured hand image using image processing methods. In this paper, the proposed method is to detect and recognize the fingertips by using the K-Curvature algorithm. Finally, the finger counting application is applied and the proposed method is discussed at the end of this paper. The results obtained from the experiment show that the acceptable average accuracy for the fingertips detection is 73.7% and the average processing time is 15.73 ms. Maritime surveillance cameras typically operate by recording the designated areas for long hours, with most of the video storage recording empty sea and sky. Video compression efficiency can be improved by assigning moving objects in video frame as foreground objects and the rest of the frame as background. The background is then compressed at a higher compression ratio to achieve better compression without significant loss of image quality at the region of interest (ROI). This paper presents SentiRobo, a supervised machine learning approach for the process of Sentiment Analysis. An enhanced version of Naive Bayes algorithm is introduced to predict the sentiment polarity of social media large data sets. In relation to this, a cross-sectional survey has been carried out to 700 companies to obtain quantitative data for statistical testing of the hypotheses. There is several communication services such as client-server communication, server-to-server communication named Generic Object Oriented Substation Event (GOOSE)/ Generic Substation Status Event (GSSE) message and sampled value communication service for the current and voltage measurement transmission. By adopting IEC 61850 communication services, the architecture of the substation information or signals exchange can be simplified by transforming the multiple copper based wiring into single Ethernet cable which can transmit multiple signals. Besides that, the GOOSE message deployment for the scheme input and output signals will reduce the physical wiring that can offer flexibility in the substation expansion and modification project through software based engineering tools process. Based on the advantages of the standard which can be gained for the protection and control scheme implementation, this paper will highlight the design of the adaptive breaker failure protection scheme using IEC 61850 GOOSE message for the busbar intertrip signal transmission and the IEC 61850 engineering process. As such, SMS is a suitable means that can be readily exploited for transferring secret messages between individuals in a less conspicuous way. In this paper, we present an investigation on the suitability of hiding secret message in SMS. The hidden data are represented as lingoes and emoticons which are frequently used by users in SMS and chat. As a result, a pre-shared list, which is common between the sender and receiver is used to embed, and later extract the secret message in SMS in a natural form. A qualitative phenomenological research method was undertaken. In-depth interviews were conducted. The analysis revealed five themes that highlight the shopper's impulsive shopping experiences. Themes were divided into textural and structural descriptions of the phenomenon. In textual description one theme emerged that illustrate shopper post impulsive shopping experience. In structural description four themes emerged in which shopper expressed that they forced to do impulsive shopping. Impulse shopping is a blessing for retailer's perspective, however, it has found that shoppers are smart they can track retailer's tactics that persuading to increase impulse shopping. Now it is a challenge for retailers to overcome the situation. In this context, this study also discussed how does retailers can maximize profit by using the insights from game theory to shape a game that is right for their shoppers. Unified Authentication platform (UAP) is a unique platform developed by MIMOS with capability to support multiple authentication mechanism and can be integrated to any Web application to provide Single Sign On (SSO) solution. Performance testing of such web applications using UAP poses some unique challenges because the Jmeter script does not capture all the dynamic values, such as SAML Request, Relay State, Signature Algorithm, Authorization State, Cookie Time, Persistent ID (PID), JSession ID and Shibboleth, generated using single sign-on mechanism of Unified Authentication Platform. PET plastics are an example of materials that can be used as printing substrate in producing nano-scale electronic and medical devices. Here, it is proposed that extending imprint lithography technique into the multiple nano-structure printing fine solid lines onto substrate. Imprint lithography is a low cost printing technique commonly used in manufacturing and printing industry. This study exhibit successful fine solid lines imprinting below 1 micrometer in line width, gap and height on polyethylene-terephthalate (PET) substrate. OEE measurement is inspired by the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and used as a key machine performance tool which measures availability, performance and quality rate. This study was conducted in a manufacturing company producing a broad range of packaging products. The main issue found relating to machine productivity was where availability shows a significant decrease since the purchase date... Thus, data were collected for 12 months from the corrugator's machine and analysed using Microsoft Excel Software to determine the value of the output table, and presented graphically. The results of this study revealed that availability achieved an improvement of 5 per cent over the world standard OEE of 90 per cent, while the machine performance and quality rate each accounted for 10 per cent and 5 per cent decrease in the `Ideal' value of OEE.
