The first step in a bioavailability study is to determine the solubility or release time of the drug from the dosage form. It has been established that the solubility test in the first approximation characterizes the bioavailability of the drug, since in practice there is a very frequent correlation between the rate of dissolution and absorption. The solubility, foreign impurities and the quantitative content of active substances were studied.","PeriodicalId":301862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology","volume":"191 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139252458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main objective of this article was to analyse the financial effects of other comprehensive income in SMEs in Medellín - Colombia. To meet this objective, a methodology was used that included the selection of a representative sample of 137 companies classified as SMEs from a total population of 16,553 business registers. In addition, an instrument designed to analyse the financial effects of other comprehensive income in this type of company was applied.The results of the study indicate that one of the effects of ORI on the financial statements is the conception of realised and unrealised income and expenses and their immediate and future effect on the financial life of the company, thus, ORI items represent movement in equity that do not derive from transactions with partners or shareholders; they affect the statements of changes in equity and comprehensive income. Likewise, ORI impacts financial indicators related to solvency, profitability, indebtedness as indebtedness over total assets, debt concentration, leverage indebtedness. The analysis of the results allows us to conclude that the implementation of the ORI in SMEs in Medellín brings key benefits. Among these, the improvement in transparency stands out, as it provides detailed information on items that were not traditionally included in the income statement. This increased transparency is of great importance, as it contributes significantly to building confidence among investors and stakeholders, strengthening the perception of SMEs' financial operations. The inclusion of ORI in financial reporting has a positive impact on informed decision-making by SMEs in Medellín. This is because it allows SMEs to provide investors and managers with a more complete and accurate view of their financial performance. This improved information becomes a strategy that empowers SMEs to adjust their operations as needed, thus ensuring their long-term sustainability.","PeriodicalId":301862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139266567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be achieved if not all sensor nodes in the network consume their energy; this is because the energy consumption of every sensor node is a vital resource for a WSN. The scheduling techniques have recently enticed the interest of the researchers’ community, as they provide the ability to adjust a set of nodes in sleep mode instead of activating all sensor nodes. However, we consider the sensors that were selected to be in sleep mode, which will not affect network coverage for any target or full connectivity. In this paper, the genetic algorithm has been used to build efficient scheduling for the sensor nodes, which were based on multiple objectives in the fitness function, and we have proposed improved mutation and crossover operations. Then, we evaluate our approaches in a target tracking application compared with previous GA approaches. Our simulations show that we have an optimal chromosome that contains a minimum number of active sensor nodes for scheduling within 3-5 iterations.","PeriodicalId":301862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology","volume":"237 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139309680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since this first isolation, it has become apparent that this organism may be one of the most common bacterial pathogens of humans, and it is one of the risk factors for adenocarcinoma. Thus, it was categorized as a group 1 carcinogen in 1994 by the World Health Organization (WHO). New infections with H.pylori are thought to occur as a consequence of direct human-to-human transmission, via either an oral-oral or fecal-oral route or both. H.pylori has been detected in stool, saliva, vomitus, and gastric refluxate, the material that has been subject to reflux, principally stomach acid that has leaked up into the esophagus. Clinically, H. pylori infection in humans is related to chronic gastritis, peptic ulceration, duodenal ulcer, and gastric cancer in addition to mucosa-associated lymphoid malignancies.According to the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates available at that time, it was supposed that about 4.4 billion infected individuals in 2015 were infected with H. pylori. These estimations can vary and are subject to change over time as recent investigations and information become obtainable. The prevalence of H. pylori is complex and affected by several factors, comprising age, clinical outcomes, geographical location, and socioeconomic status. A higher incidence was reported in unhygienic and economically poor areas; the rate of H. pylori infection in Africa, South America, and Asia was significantly higher than that in Western Europe, North America, and Australia. However, the disease spectrum of H. pylori infection shows a wide range of clinical aspects, including gastrointestinal diseases and extra gastric manifestations. In this review, we have described the general scope of these diseases.","PeriodicalId":301862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology","volume":"56 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139323553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is vital to address these concerns to sustain lean transportation services. This paper intends to present a lean-based analysis of a continuous improvement approach for Jordanian land transport industry, the aim behind that is to improve the overall effectiveness of the Jordanian land transportation sector. The research uses the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) as a lean tool to fill the knowledge gap between theory and practice and to shed light on the continual improvements of Jordan's land transportation sector. Five of the largest land transportation companies have provided data, which has been gathered using primary and secondary data sources. Managers, drivers, and operations officers are polled using a 65-question Five-Point-Likert survey. The research looks at how the cost of transportation, customer satisfaction, safety, management emphasis, travel time, and driving abilities affect overall effectiveness. Operations, technical, and managerial efficiency are the metrics used to evaluate efficiency. Eight hypotheses between three efficiency measures and six independent variables are brought up. Correlations, tolerance tests, and Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) multicollinearity tests validate and confirm the findings. The research identifies significant barriers impeding the effectiveness of Jordan's land transportation industry and seeks to close the gap between theory and practice. Future research plans to investigate how other Jordanian service sectors measure their efficiency because the developed approach is useful and applicable.","PeriodicalId":301862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology","volume":"2020 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139336841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The connection between these conditions can be attributed to lipotoxicity, that induces systemic inflammation by activating the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and triggers the release of angiotensin II within the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). This study examined the correlation between degree of steatosis and degree of hypertension in NAFLD patients at Hajj Hospital Jakarta in 2019-2022. A cross-sectional approach was used to analyse the medical record data obtained through consecutive sampling. B-mode abdominal ultrasound examination assessed the degree of steatosis in NAFLD. Blood pressure grading was based on the 2020 International Society of Hypertension (ISH) Global Hypertension Practice Guidelines. The data were processed using Somers’d test to define the correlation between steatosis and hypertension.Of 53 NAFLD subjects, 56.6% were female, and mild steatosis was dominant (54.7%). The proportion of hypertension among NAFLD patients was 39.7%, with a higher prevalence of 61.9% among those aged 50 years or older. Majority of patients were grade I hypertension, whereas all subjects with grade II hypertension exhibited severe steatosis. There was correlation between the degree of hypertension and steatosis patients with NAFLD, with a p-value of 0.029 and a weak correlation coefficient (r= 0.251). This study found a correlation between steatosis and degree of hypertension. It was suggested females aged 50 years or older with grade II hypertension should be screened for fatty liver.","PeriodicalId":301862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology","volume":"315 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115360329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
