The method gives the possibility to control at the same time different variables more than in conventional cascaded CGPC. For this method, the plant is assumed to be divided into three parts and three G.P.C. algorithms must be computed. To allow that human-robot interaction, we use an augmented reality display. This mechanism makes it possible to overlay planning, world model and sensory data provided by the robot over the same field of view. The determination of the camera pose in the AR system is solved using this novelty feature-based localisation method. Thus, the human user can intuitively help to build a topological map in an unknown environment by setting and manipulating map nodes and visualize and correct the robot's path planning","PeriodicalId":299928,"journal":{"name":"MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129615634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rather than working with a fixed, flat background, the system relies on a virtual 3D model of the background that is automatically created and updated using a sequence of images of the environment. Each time an image is captured, the position of the camera is estimated and the corresponding view of the background can be rendered. The substraction between the frame and the view provides video objects not present in the background. In order to estimate the position of the camera to create the background model and render a background view, artificial landmarks of known size are distributed in the environment. The system works correctly in real environments, over 20 frames per second. It recovers from illumination changes and automatic white balance (AWB) thanks to our background updating algorithm","PeriodicalId":299928,"journal":{"name":"MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129816841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both technical and economical objective functions are taken into account in the optimisation procedure; the technical objective, related to system reliability, is expressed by the energy index of reliability. For this purpose a probabilistic model for HSWPS has been developed, based on the convolution technique to assess the long term performance for both stand-alone and grid-linked applications. The proposed model is based on closed form solution approach to treat the wind system and the solar system as a whole. The procedure of optimization aims at finding the configuration that yields the best compromise for the two considered objectives: the long-term average performance and the overall cost of the generating system.","PeriodicalId":299928,"journal":{"name":"MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130440311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The blockset is composed of several libraries with different abstraction levels (high-level, hardware and software) allowing the co-design and simulation of an entire hardware/software system. This background setting is complemented by a set of tools that automates the transition through the different descriptions of the system and helps to make the critical decisions in the partition phase. In addition, a co-design flow is proposed to take advantage of the blockset features. This approach is based on the dynamic model of the \"PV-MPPT adapter-inverter-asynchronous motor-pump\". The MPPT control allows the extraction of the maximum output power delivered by the PV generator. However the inverter insures a PWM control of the asynchronous motor and a sine wave form of output signals. This methodology allows an optimal control and monitoring of continuous-continuous and continuous-alternative inverters by calculating the cyclic ratio of the DC-DC converter and the voltage/frequency (V/f) control law of the DC-DC inverter.
