Demands to set us lightpaths can be static, dynamic or scheduled. This paper deals with the problem of routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) of static lightpath demands which means that the set of demands is known a priori. This NP-complete problem has been widely studied in literature and several heuristic algorithms have been proposed. The most common objective is to minimize the number of wavelengths used. Suggested is a simple and fast algorithm for the RWA problem motivated by an efficient existing algorithm for the same problem. Testing on a series of random networks indicates that these modifications yield solutions superior in quality to those obtained by the previously suggested algorithm","PeriodicalId":299928,"journal":{"name":"MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124403352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation is based on measured data of temperature and global solar radiation and can be applied to any site conditions. The result indicated an excellent correspondence between simulation and measurement results. The harmonic currents differ much under different generation conditions, e.g. a great difference was recognized between high generation (summer) and low generation (winter). The assessment for grid connection of PV-converters shall take account of this fact. It is suggested to use the simulation results instead of using the worst conditions as per IEC 61000-3-12","PeriodicalId":299928,"journal":{"name":"MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114359022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To accomplish this task, the possibilities offered by recent extensible processors for their instruction set and microarchitectural customization have to be exploited. In this paper, a design approach that encapsulates automated workload characterization and highly-controllable instruction and application-specific functional unit (AFU) generation is utilized for fast extension space exploration of embedded processors. It is proved that a relatively small number of unique AFUs is needed in order to support embedded applications from the MiBench and Powerstone suites. Although properties of CSD format are well known from literature, published proofs are tedious and occupy lot of columns of text. Here the problem has been reduced to the problem of combinatorial number. The tool for this reduction is a \"drawer lemma\" - lemma about the distribution of identical objects in drawers or holes. Next there is proposed an algorithm for the computation and quantization of canonic signed digit (CSD) coefficients in a constant-coefficient multiplierless FIR filter. The algorithm is proven to be optimal in the mean square error sense. These systems generally utilize complex coding architectures, like the digital video broadcasting (DVB) standard, in order to maintain an acceptable quality of service (QoS) at low signal-to-noise ratios. Although these systems are finding more and more applications, the literature is still relatively poor in the description of models capable of representing such complex architectures. First, the characterization by diagonal bi-spectra is performed and it allows the spectral separation of the primary event from the secondary ones (echoes). Secondly, a cumulant-based independent component analysis is applied for blind sources separation in a low-SNR scenario. The method is first validated considering a synthetic of acoustic signals. Then, the developed algorithm is applied to a sequence of quartets of primary bursts and their first three echoes. The denoising capability of ICA is assessed by comparing the power spectra of the sources vs. the separated signals. That windings structure makes the LSRA to become an actuator with a fail-save system. However, usage of this kind of actuator is difficult because of their demanding control. The machine control difficulty results from the fact that the actuator is highly dependent on its complex magnetic circuit, which is also complex to model and simulate. Observing actuator force maps, one can conclude that the developed traction forces depend on both relative stator to translator positions and coils excitation current. Thus, some well-chosen positions can be considered as optimal positions to trigger a specific actuator phase. This paper proposes a method, based on fuzzy logic control strategy, to determine automatically the best positions to perform the switching of converter connected with the actuator phases.
