Three- dimensional reconstruction from geoinformation discipline has the advantage to improve the measurement of an as built building. Modern as built reconstruction has less limitation compared to conventional as built surveying. The objective of this study is to validate the accuracy of point cloud measurement and traditional as built data. Terrestrial laser scanner was used to record all interior and exterior spatial and geometry data of a building. A rendered 3D model of the scanned data was developed to provide semantic information of the building. The result shows that geometrical measurement of an as built model from point cloud data has good accuracy. However, it is difficult for production and process engineers to complete the task of achieving optimal performance of industrial batch processes. Batch processes have many major issues such as they are big batch-to-batch variations, highly non-linear dynamics, and difficulty in real-time measurement. It is significant to control the process in real-time, in order to avoid many issues such as off-spec product. While the study of EPC and SPC is garnering attraction in controlling strategy, the implementing of the integration is still rare compare to continuous process. The objective of this study is to develop a methodology that integrates two important techniques of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Engineering Process Control (EPC) for quality improvement. Integrating SPC/EPC is a very effective way since the features from both SPC and EPC could give a complementary performance to improve product quality in industrial process by on-line monitoring, regulating and correcting actions. The approach is applied to data collected from experimentation process of carboxylmethyl carbon, as a case study where it is a batch process. SPC method used is EWMA control chart meanwhile EPC method used Integral (I) controller of feedforward with bounded chart. Based on result, the implementation of integration of SPC and EPC managed to reduce the process variation by 32.8% and reduced the standard deviation by 18%. λ of 0.5 was the best option with target = 0.89209, stand deviation = 0.05983, variance = 0.00358 and PM = 0.00367. Two NOMA users will be multiplexed to the same subcarrier for transmission which is also known as user pairing where strong channel condition's user is paired with poor channel condition's user. User with a strong channel contributes to the system throughput while user with a poor channel is treated fairly which will cause the performance of the poor channel to be degraded. However, the performance of poor channel can be improved if the subcarrier allocation is considered in the pairing strategy. Hence, the goal of this study is to analyse and discuss the effect of subcarrier allocation to the performance of throughput. Based on the simulations results, user's performance can be improved by allocating more subcarriers to the pair. The performance of the weakest channel condition's user is improved by 57.14% when the number of allocated subcarriers is 36. The ESFs utilize classification scores from machine learning algorithms which are sensitives to the feature vector. The number of features influences the speed of the algorithms. Previous studies utilize image patch 3×3 which consists of 9 components in the feature vector and leads to a long computational time. This paper investigates the use of a simple feature vector for the ESFs. An image patch of 2×2 is selected and applied to a classification algorithm, namely the k-nearest neighbors (k-NN). This paper studies channel estimation techniques in multicarrier orthogonal frequency-division-multiplexing (OFDM) 5G wireless communication systems in Rayleigh and Rician channels. Proposed M-estimator based channel estimation technique in comparison with classical least squares (LS) and linear minimum mean-squared error (LMMSE) estimation is studied and analyzed. An M-estimator is proposed for robustification of channel estimation technique in Rayleigh and Rician fading channels. Angle of polarization (AOP) sensor was used to measure the polarized light patterns. The main objective of this article is to investigate the capabilities of AOP sensor and determine whether it is reliable and consistent in distinguishing physical properties of biomaterials. The physical property of material chosen as a variable in this study is density. In this study, a salt solution is used as a sample on which to model the biomaterial. The density of salt solution is varied between 1.006 g/ml and 1.201 g/ml. The characteristics of the angle of polarization (AOP) of incident rays with wavelengths of 483–595 nm, 495–570 nm, 590–620 nm, 620–750 nm were investigated. Based on the results obtained, the AOP measured via AOP sensor is increased with the increment of density value of salt solutions. The pattern of AOP showed the linear line increment between densities of 1.006 to 1.169 g/ml. The AOP reading showed the sharp increment after the density 1.169 g/ml. This results showed that the AOP can have a specific pattern for specific value of density. To improve the efficiency as well as the productivity of their farms, modern agricultural technology was proven to be better than traditional practices. Internet of Things (IoT) is usually related in modern agriculture which provides the farmer with a real-time monitoring condition of their farm from anywhere and anytime. Nowadays, oyster mushroom is one of the favorite plants to be cultivated among Malaysian farmers. However, it is still overshadowed by the traditional cultivation approach, which is costly, low productivity and more maintenance. Therefore, this work aims to develop an automatic climate control system at a minimized cost, which can control the condition of the farm as well as optimize the resources. Our proposed IoT-based design was tested in real environment at NASOM Bandar Puteri Centre. Oyster mushroom requires an optimum temperature ranging from 20 to 30°C and humidity from 70 to 80 percent. Two sensors were placed at the center and corner of the mushroom house to measure the temperature and humidity which were transmitted to the remote monitoring station via a micro-controller unit for further action. Different signals from the human brain, including the motor imagery, steady-state visual evoked potential, error-related potential (ErrP), motion-related potentials and P300 have been employed to design a competent BCI system. Motor imagery is commonly seen in almost every BCI system among these neural signals. This article has implemented feature extraction and feature selection techniques to classify the Electrocorticography (ECoG) motor imaging signal. The empirical mode decomposition (EMD) coupled fast Fourier transform (FFT) has been utilized as the feature extraction and recursive feature elimination (RFE) has been utilised to select the features. Finally, the extracted features have been classified using K-nearest neighbor, support vector machine and linear discriminant analysis. Two classes ECoG data from dataset I (BCI competition III) have been considered to validate the proposed method. In addition, changes in plant model parameters have disturbed the reliability of the system and can jeopardize the consistency of essential oils. A CRONE controller, which stands for Non-integer order robust controller, was used in this paper to satisfy the robustness property in terms of time constant variation and desired phase margin. Steam distillation process modelling was obtained in First Order plus Dead Time (FOPDT) structure where the CRONE element, design specification and gain crossover frequency were addressed in this study.
