Today, only the innovation management could offer a set of tools that would allow leaders of all states to closely cooperate in order to understand the common processes and objectives, to encourage new projects even of small entrepreneurs of the developing countries by supporting them, a process which, if well managed, can lead to a significant economic growth and help them to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Nowadays, innovative management and eco-diplomacy play a decisive role in overcoming the crisis moments in Romania, European Union and in the world and this can be achieved also by increasing the capacity and participation of the younger generation of diplomats and professionals in promoting peace and ecological diversity. The aim of this paper is to answer to the question: Where do we stand today with regard to the innovation management in the field of natural resources as natural gas and which is the role of eco-diplomacy today. The research is based on official reports on gas and energy production and consumption in Romania and other countries.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"103 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140985954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Substantial growth in the developing world, led by China, has lifted millions of people out of poverty. But globalization has also led to more complex and interconnected threats. The arteries of our society - such as IT systems and energy supply - are more vulnerable. Global warming and environmental degradation are changing the face of our planet. Moreover, globalization accelerates changes in power relations and highlights differences in values. The recent financial crisis has destabilized both developed and developing economies. As other crises are expected to spread in a domino effect, redefining national security will be essential for states and regional organizations. But in this process the decisions could collide with the assumed international obligations. Rethinking the national security agenda will certainly face issues that require the protection of certain strategic sectors that have a greater negative impact on the climate neutrality policy.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"105 34","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140986016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our research aims to identify how first-year students want their faculty to be and their view on how the faculty should improve. COVID-19 disease forced everyone to adapt and universities were not left out in this matter, each faculty had to adopt a system that would allow them to continue their activity. Some continued with the face-to-face classes, some adopted a hybrid form and some were forced to go completely online. All this is influenced by the topic of the faculty, the number of students, and other factors like this. The second-year students are the ones that went through both approaches (online and face-to-face) so they are the ones that can offer a good view of how the faculty can improve. This study delves into these nuances, drawing on ancient principles of ethos, pathos, and logos as a foundation for analysis. The Introduction establishes the philosophical groundwork, elucidating the essence of communication across these environments pre-pandemic. Methodologically, employing dual surveys involving 834 individuals and 86 economic entities, the study unravels intricate communication patterns during the pandemic. The findings in \"Methodology and Study\" unravel communication intricacies: rural resilience amid physical distancing, contrasting urban reliance on technology. Conclusions underscore rural openness to socialization versus urban complexity, highlighting rural adaptability in the 'hybrid' work paradigm. The study sheds light on rural-urban disparities, revealing rural potential in fostering open communication. Despite economic gaps, rural communities exhibit higher sociability, a critical asset underexplored in the business realm. The Abstract encapsulates the divergence in communication strategies between rural and urban domains amid the pandemic, emphasizing untapped rural potential despite economic limitations.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"36 15","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140983791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The credit term gradually increased, part of the Bank's resources began to be invested in fixed capital, securities, etc., thus the term \"commercial\" in the notion of bank has lost its original meaning. Now, this term implies the \"business\" character of the bank, its orientation towards serving all economic agents regardless of the sphere of activity. In the modern market economy, the activity of commercial banks has a major role with all their connections with the sectors of the economy. The purpose of banks is to ensure the continuous circulation of capital and money, lending to industrial enterprises, the state and the population, creation favorable conditions for economic growth. Modern commercial banks, having the role of financial intermediaries, perform an important macroeconomic function, ensuring the inter-branch and inter-regional redistribution of monetary capital. The objective of this article is based on an effective analysis of the situation of commercial banks in Romania, with Transilvania Bamk as the direct target. Thus, the scope of the work is a financial-banking one, which can lead to a comparative study with the other institutions.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"65 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140983414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although researchers have been paying more attention to this topic recently, there is a current need for more systematic work that depicts how management is applied to successfully European-funded projects in general. Moreover, being Romania's primary funding source, it is vital to analyze and assess the factors that lead EU projects to success. The originality of this paper consists of systematically identifying, critically evaluating, and synthesizing relevant studies and publications on EPM, using semi-automated and manual filtering, both exclusionary and inclusionary, while analyzing and assessing critical success factors of national relevance. This research significantly contributes to knowledge of the factors affecting the success of Europeanfunded projects in Romania and offers practical approaches that can be applied in this field. Our results can be used to address Romania's current weaknesses and challenges in accessing EU funds, such as reducing bureaucracy, fighting corruption, and strengthening administrative capacity. Moreover, this paper can serve as a manual for training and coaching programs to improve project teams' competencies and knowledge.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"102 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140986162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
