But it is not only the never-ending rivalry between the cat and the mouse with the slapstick comedy that helps the cartoon to be as one of the talked of the topics in the entertainment and media industry, it has created some controversies regarding its contents; and violence is one those that has made the scholars and critics talk about it and its possible impacts on the audience. Apart from lamenting for the impacts of violence on the juveniles’ mind, this study rather focuses on how Tom and Jerry projects violence alongside with the slapstick comic elements in the name of entertainment since it is significant to discern what violence is and then categorize them into different type as different categories of violence may have impact on the audience in different ways. By defining the term violence, this study shows how Tom and Jerry displays the actions which can be the ribs and stretchers of the umbrella known as violence. In terms of organizational management, strategic communication defined as a purposeful communication in order to achieve a specific goal and target. Strategic communication does not only function as a tool of vision and goal interpretation towards targeted audience, but also to achieve both organization’s vision and goal. It act as a centre to ensure a strategy implementation achievement made by the organization. This article will describe and discuss further strategic communication practices based on three focuses; definition, approach and implementation. The Arabs and Peranakan Arabs were identified as foreigners in disguise, the Europeans colonisers as harbingers of modernity. From this perspective not much have been written, using editorial cartoons in Malaysia. This article then focuses on the depiction by the Malay of what constitutes the foreigner (and the West). The medium of the cartoon was a recent innovation in Malay-language newspapers, having first appeared in the first issue of Warta Jenaka a weekly pictorial newspaper on 7 September of 1936. This article surveys three major periodicals in the 1930s including that of Warta Ahad and Utusan Zaman in their construction of ambivalence toward colonialism and Western influence. These were the inter-war years. The periodicals capture Malay sentiments couched in humor and sarcasm ranging from the proximate culture of the Arabs to British or European notions of race, modernity and progress. It is cognizant of the colonial condition and the milieu and the inherent character of the Malay press, serving as instruments of criticism and satire. Its impact on Nigerian media is no exemption. Corruption in relation to media is popularly tied to brown envelope which ultimately affects journalist sense of news judgment. Hence, this paper took a theoretical approach to examining the relationship between the issue of brown envelope syndrome and unethical practice within the Nigerian media system and its implications on ethical and socially responsible journalism. Surprisingly, result of the literature reviewed revealed that poor journalistic training and lack of professionalism is responsible for unethical practice in Nigerian media. It further revealed loss of credibility, loss of watchdog roles and decline in news quality, values and public trust of journalists as its implications on ethical and socially responsible journalism. Consequently, internal communication has metamorphosed to accommodate emerging online communication tools, platforms and linkages. In response to this, online internal communication is being engrained in the organisational culture and employees are now expected to adopt the same for their interactions. Certainly, the extent of online internal communication in the organisation determines the level of employees’ online interactions, their performance and productivity in this digital era. Consequently, effective adoption of online internal communication (OIC) tools enable organisations to operate more efficiently and successfully in the changing business environment. However, the efficiency of OIC depends how well these organisations are able to manage their employees’ online interactions for information and knowledge sharing and managing relationships. The development of communication technology has triggered a concept of Mobile Journalism or MoJo in the journalistic world. This study will show the application of the MoJo concept in the Kosmo Online and Rotikaya news portal that are able to change the working style of journalists from time to time. This study aims to see MoJo trends capable of changing the style of journalists, MoJo skills used among media practitioners and the future of newspaper companies as a result of digital technology. This study used a qualitative method that is through a deep interview with two informants fromboth media organisations. The theory used in this study is the Diffusion of Innovation Theory by Everett Rogers that examines four important elements of social system, time frame, innovation and communication channels. As a result of this research, researchers have found some new findings that are classified according to the theoretical elements applied in the MoJo concept. The findings show that both interviewed media organizations have successfully applied MoJo concepts in journalist working style. MoJo is able to change the style of journalist work from traditional style to modern style by using mobile devices to report the news. This application has helped journalists improve their skills indirectly towards the structure of news writing with the use of technology in delivering news visually. This MoJo has also been delivering the news that there is no obstacle to the gatekeeper where the true information continues to be communicated to the public without restrictions. It argues that religious websites as an online environment require attention to the impressive communication process. In this study, we focus on how Christian and Islamic religious websites use the five visual aesthetic facets, including Simplicity, Diversity (visual richness), Colourfulness, Typography, and Image on homepages. To address this issue, 10 Christian and Islamic religious websites are selected from the Alexa top religious websites. Using a descriptive-analytics approach, evaluation of visual aesthetics is conducted through a checklist based on the theoretical and empirical literature reviewed on visual aesthetics and website design. It is included some criteria about visual aesthetic items in web design. The results show that Christian and Islamic religious websites have different types of visual aesthetics. Furthermore, Christian websites with high simplicity, low diversity, paying attention to the colour factor, appropriate typography and high-quality images, received the highest overall aesthetics ratings.
