Answers to the research questions focused on understanding what conditions for mass adoptions would need to exist and how the National Football League TV transmissions could support the adoption process until when. An integrated literature review defined inhibiting factors to adoption related to technology, health, content, marketing strategy and price. Solution paths were proposed. Rogers’ diffusion of innovation theory and the Bass model were applied in a comparatist perspective, comparing 3DTV to historical adoption pat-terns of both HDTV and color TV. The comparatist approach proved to be very useful, as forecast models ignoring historical adoption patterns usually failed. Findings revealed that most American households could possess 3DTV sets by 2032, if Avatar sequels would kick off another cycle of 3D cinema, followed by 3DTV re-introduction. NFL TV transmissions were found to be perhaps the single most important factor to motivate Americans buying 3DTV sets and supporting mass adoption. The study encountered limitations, related to the Bass model. Also, findings from the American market would need to be adapted carefully to situations in other countries, before generalizing them.","PeriodicalId":294201,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengajian Media Malaysia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130035786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Not only did the students have to maintain a social distance from their peers and family, but students also must adapt with online learning. Remote learning has become the norm to avoid the wide-reaching and transferable contagious disease. The sudden outbreak disrupted the education system worldwide and forced educators to switch to online mode of teaching. Some students acknowledge and are ready for online learning. However, some are reluctant to shift from traditional learning to online learning. There seem to be several methods where educators could help to make the virtual education experience more engaging and efficient. Therefore, several articles on enhancing online learning and teaching were summarized. Most of the existing research suggests that the adaptation of distance learning was a brilliant choice. Nevertheless, study showed that some students tend to detest online learning due to personal and technological difficulty issues. Besides, distance learning has also been found to be related to psychological impact such as stress and anxiety. Moreover, the existing research discovered that online learning could give psychological impacts in correlation with the challenging learning process. This paper summarizes relevant scholarly articles, identifies ideas and the need for further study.","PeriodicalId":294201,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengajian Media Malaysia","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131072082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is one of the most remarkable films in Dhallywood, the Film Industry of Bangladesh, which won the National Film Award afterwards for its storyline and stunning acting by the protagonist’s (Fuli) cast Shimla. This film gave a jolt to the contemporary social systems of Bangladesh regarding our attitude towards the skin color of women and also towards our concept of beauty. Through the portrayal of various stage of Fuli’s life, the director, Shahidul Islam Khokon, who is the producer and the screen-play writer of this film, takes attempts to show what are the things and incidents a girl or a woman go through in the society in Bangladesh. By putting a tagline as ‘Fight for Right’ the director wants to visualize the struggle of a woman in the society of Bangladesh. But somehow, this film actually encourages the same follies and vices of the social practices that it intends to resist. This article shows how Madam Fuli actually waters into the roots of the same old racist concept of beauty.","PeriodicalId":294201,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengajian Media Malaysia","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124132448","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
