The array corresponds to the holographic plane, where data is collected to reconstruct an acoustic field in another plane parallel to the holographic plane. Here, the basic theory and the experimental results obtained from the sound field generated by the operation of a motor are presented, visualizing the parts where noises are located.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129097900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The four-port filters present multiplexing characteristics and are designed using Composite-Right-Left-Handed (CRLH) zeroth-order closed loop resonators, which present small dimensions and suppression of harmonic resonances. The structure presents a bandpass behavior at one port and its complementary reject band response at other port. A second filter is further miniaturized by using a MTM transmission line (TL) instead of a conventional one. The simulated responses are presented showing good results.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132661705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The PLC device implements OFDM in both transmitter and receiver using VHDL programming. The OFDM processor is synthesized in a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) that acts as a Core Processor in the PLC Modem. Furthermore, the prototype includes the design and implementation of the stages needed to inject the signal into the power-line and to recover the same signal in other point of the PLC network. An analysis of several noise sources show that the PLC Modem performance produced a bit error percentage of 4.46% in the worst case, while 0.89% in the best case for the transmission/reception tested.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131199267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A special control vector is defined to redistribute the compute expensive between a network analysis and a parametric optimization. This redistribution permits the minimization of a computer time. The problem of the minimal-time network design can be formulated in this case as a classical problem of the optimal control for some functional minimization. The conception of the Lyapunov function of dynamic controllable system is used to analyze the principal characteristics of the design process. The analysis of the Lyapunov function and its time derivative gives a possibility to compare the different design strategies.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132906385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim is to evaluate the impact that the interference resulting from a realistic UWB hot spot scenario may have on the performance of a Wi-Max/IEEE-802.16 receiver. A mathematical model is developed through which the performance of the interference power produced by the UWB hot spot can be calculated. We use a pulse waveform represented as a generalized form of Gaussian pulse family that can be used in Ultra Wide Band (UWB) impulse radio systems. This pulse waveform ensures that the UWB spectrum mask established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is met. The results against which the UWB interference is assessed are also developed using the specifications of Wi-Max/IEEE-802.16 systems. Several simulations have been done to both validate the analytical results and calculate the UWB interference.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"40 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114027858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, metro lines are modelled using a nonlinear real time discrete space state representation and then the Lyapunov-based stability analysis is applied considering time delays of trains as disturbances. As a result a new set of indexes which relate time delays with the validity of the actual time schedule when falling inside a particular ‘stability area’ are defined. Results obtained in a simulated environment show that the new stability indexes are able to evaluate quantitatively and qualitatively the effects of saturation in metro lines as well as predict the need for rescheduling","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122672940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such applications have brought new challenges to the table and in consequence there are services that became to be critical factors, just like authenticity in WSN. Node authenticity in WSN is a commodity service that allows verifying that the message source is a node belonging to the sensor network, providing a countermeasure against node impersonation and message’s injection. However, such service is considered too expensive when public key cryptography is involved. In this paper an authentication protocol for WSN is described with an estimation of costs on operations over the base field.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"133 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132804987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The AC/DC converter is a three phases diode bridge rectifier, the DC/DC converter consists of a Boost converter which keeps the voltage level nearly constant over the whole wind speeds to supply satisfactory a single-phase DC/AC inverter which has four insulated gate bipolar transistors since a single-phase output with constant voltage and frequency is desired.The simulation of the whole system including the permanent magnet synchronous generator and it is verified that the design of the AC/DC/AC power converter and its control strategy work very well and can be readily used in RL loads in rural areas.","PeriodicalId":292855,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Electrical, Communications, and Computers","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127732172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
