Abstract

This paper deals with the voltage and frequency control of the generated electricity from a permanent magnet wind-turbine. The wind turbine is directly connected to a permanent magnet synchronous generator in order to avoid the losses associated to the gearbox so that only an AC/DC/AC power converter is used to control the variable voltage and frequency.
