OntoQuestion: An Ontologies-Based Framework for Factoid Question Answering on Abstracts

Abstract

Documents are an invaluable resource of information. They store knowledge represented in free text that is hard to acquire, share and reuse automatically. This paper proposes Onto Question, an ontologies-based framework for factoid question answering on abstracts. This framework can be used as a reference architecture to develop ontological question answering systems. We describe the components of this framework and we propose the outlines to evaluate the effectiveness of the OntoQuestion-based QA systems.
