It is M(g)/D/1/k/S queue with generalised Poisson arrival process, constant service time, single server, limited waiting positions and finite number of customers. We use the generalised input Poisson stream that can be peaked, regular or smooth. This model with quasi-random input stream and constant service time is a non-Markov process (renewal process). An algorithm for the calculation of the state probabilities, the time congestion probability, the average delay and the waiting time distributions are presented. These advantages are mostly manifested in the possibility of implementing many new services as well as in the network capacity saving. The focus of this paper is the IP network transfer capacity savings analysis. IP network completely replaces the PSTN network. Also, the influence of the voice activity detection technique and VoIP packet header compression technique on the additional saving of the required IP network transportation capacity is analyzed. The analysis is performed on the basis of the simulation measurements results which have been obtained by the originally developed application PlanVoip. Savastano\" to the academic circles of East Europe, Western Balkan and Mediterranean area. In particular, in the framework of the project \"Italian-Croatian remote laboratory distributed on geographic network\", the Italian-Croatian collaboration is highlighted. The proposed approach follows EU efforts to implement internal lifelong learning program and influence educational systems of EU partners and neighbor Countries while helping them to overcome problems with their own educational systems and lack of resources. Developed experiments, included in the remote laboratory, give the possibility of achieving practical experience on several fields, while multilingual approach gives the access to such facility to the students coming from different countries. Moreover, the idea of interactively controlled transfer of knowledge and experience offers new opportunities to the remote experiments enabling them to be executed without supervising necessity","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121239546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Real time data must be acquired to react fast enough to suppress fire occurrence or to minimize damage made by forest fires. In forest fire monitoring systems, usually a large area must be controlled. Real time data has to be collected and processed in time. When the amount of data reaches critical volume, modern software techniques have to be implemented in order to accomplish system goals. In this work we have implemented agent technology on data retrieval and processing. A multi-agent system for real-time data collection and processing is described. This work is a part of a more complex integral project of forest fire protection in Split-Dalmatia County. The integral forest fire protection system will be based on the information system for integration of all activities connected with early fire detection by 24 hours video and meteorological monitoring, management of forest-fire fighting and post-fire recuperation of burned landscape","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127682100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wireless systems propagation parameters are greatly influenced by multipath fading, even more so in an \"indoor\" environment. Theoretical parameters commonly used for describing multipath are coherence bandwidth and multipath delay spread. The goal of this paper is presentation of results of impulse response measurements in 2.4-GHz frequency band, conducted inside FESB building, using vector analyzer method.
