An adaptive noise canceller adaptively filters a noise reference input to maximally match and subtract out noise or interference from the primary (signal plus noise) input. In this work we use a simple neural network called Adaline as adaptive filter. They exploit the best features of the two well-known scheduling disciplines round robin (RR) and shortest distance (SD) based on local information at the nodes in the network. The effectiveness of the SA algorithms, where several cooling strategies are used, is evaluated by comparing system performance under different packet scheduling algorithms including RR and SD. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms provide an optimized performance and minimize the average buffer size, therefore decreasing the power consumption of the system","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133044639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Basically, when a priori information consists of the support constraints only, this is a well known problem where an iterative IFFT/FFT is more or less efficient depending on the amount of the a prior information and relative share of the available part of the spectrum. Conceptually we use the same approach, however, we use a prior information in a more complete way by using the object distribution function and not only the constrains in the object domain. This soft approach, compared with a classical (hard) approach, contributes both in the increased speed of the convergence as well as in the total gain obtained at the end of iterations. Total gain and convergence speed in the soft approach depend on the preliminary object and generally increase with amount of the a priori information included in the initial step that defines an initial object","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123591297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although the technology is well specified and supported by the programming tools, it is still not widely used. Some of the main reasons are the difficulties which the end users have in searching an adequate Web service to get the required data. Even if found, the Web service rarely fit the exact needs. This paper presents a new framework for dynamical generation of the Web services from the heterogeneous data sources on user's demand. The aim of the framework is to generate web services that are customized to the particular requirements. Apart from specifying the requirements in WSDL, the framework proposes the ontology for describing the available data","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130781137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

IMUNES is based on a lightweight virtual machine concept and performs zero copying when packets traverse through the emulated topology. It works on a modified FreeBSD kernel and enables emulated nodes to use the standard UNIX applications. The main strengths of this tool are scalability, performance and high fidelity. We are developing a distributed network simulation to further increase the scalability by allowing parts of emulation to be deployed across a peer-to-peer emulator cluster. The decentralized management of the emulator cluster improves availability and robustness of the system. We provide support for a multi-user and multi-experiment environment to maximize the benefit from newly increased resources","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114585754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Numerical results along head, neck, torso, abdomen, arms, legs and ankles are presented and discussed in the case of grounded subject standing under power distribution lines. The objective is to characterise the influence of different shape and geometrical factors on the current distribution inside the body and electric field in the near field. The inclusion of legs and arms with different orientations with respect to the incident field are considered. The main contribution is to present new results of the BEM for extremely low frequency exposure and to evaluate the relationship between degree of detail in 3D modelling and the corresponding fluctuation of results for induced currents","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122095433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Explicitly, queueing networks (QN) are used to model a distributed application that use a Web Services middleware layer, with support of a set of open source and multiplatform tools for testing and modeling purposes. The model is used to foresee the overall system performance, taking into account both the service provider and the service consumer side. The results demonstrate that the proposed QN model produces accurate estimates of the response time and scalability, and can be used to evaluate and compare different hardware and software configurations","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126341581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem is twofold, i.e. it requires the calculation of power substation electric field and current density induced inside the human body. ELF electric field generated from a power substation is assessed by solving the Scalar Potential Integral Equation (SPIE) using the Source Element Method (SEM), a variant of the Indirect Boundary Element Method (IBEM). Knowing the electric field due to the substation the current density induced within the human being exposed to such field is obtained by solving the Laplace equation variant of the continuity equation using the direct Boundary Element Method with domain decomposition (BEM-DM). Some illustrative computational results for external electric field and internal current density are presented.","PeriodicalId":292242,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Software in Telecommunications and Computer Networks","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117186273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
