The proposed curve has been designed using the technique of superior iteration. The Koch curve is the limiting curve obtained by applying the self similar divisions to infinite number of times but in Superior Koch Curve scaling factor is based on superior iteration.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. Several characterizations of fuzzy n-fold fantastic filters are given. The author shows that every n-fold (fuzzy n-fold) fantastic filter is a filter (fuzzy filter), but the converse is not true. Using a level set of a fuzzy set in a BL-algebra, the author gives a characterization of fuzzy n-fold fantastic filters. Finally, the author establishes the extension property for n-fold and fuzzy n-fold fantastic filters in BL-algebras. The author also constructs some algorithms for folding theory applied to fantastic filters in BL-algebras.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. Samples of Traffic Noise are collected from selected locations from busy roads of Aurangabad city in Maharashtra state (India) and data is analyzed. It is observed that in many cases the traffic noise possesses pink noise (1/f noise) prevailing over appreciable range of frequency. The log log plot of noise power versus frequency results in a straight line with a slope approximately equal to unity confirming the presence of pink noise. After certain frequency, the noise power no longer behaves like pink noise (1/f noise) and becomes more or less constant with random fluctuations. Plots of noise power versus frequency on log log basis for different locations studied are presented and the inferences are discussed.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. The study provides an unification and an extension of traditional differential and difference equations and, in the same time, it is a unification of the discrete theory with the continuous theory, from the scientific point of view. Moreover, it is a crucial tool in many computational and numerical applications. Based on the wellknown Δ delta and ∇ nabla dynamic derivatives, a combined dynamic derivative, socalled α diamond-α dynamic derivative, was introduced as a linear combination of Δ and ∇ dynamic derivatives on time scales. The diamond-α dynamic derivative reduces to the Δ derivative for α 1 and to the ∇ derivative for α 0. On the other hand, it represents a “weighted dynamic derivative” on any uniformly discrete time scale when α 1/2. See 1–5 for the basic rules of calculus associated with the diamond-α dynamic derivatives. The classical Hermite-Hadamard inequality gives us an estimate, from below and from above, of the mean value of a convex function. The aim of this paper is to establish a full analogue of this inequality if we compute the mean value with the help of the delta, nabla, and diamond-α integral. The left-hand side of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality is a special case of the Jensen inequality. Recently, it has been proven a variant of diamond-α Jensen’s inequality see 6 .","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. This paper describes the first stage of a study on the evolution of planning abilities. A blocks world problem is used as a task to be solved by the agents, and encode an inherent planning parameter into the genome. The result of computer simulation shows a general tendency that planning ability emerges when the problem is difficult to solve. When taking social relationships, especially in the collective situation, into account, planning ability is difficult to evolve in the case that the problem is complex because there is a conflict between personal and collective interests. Also, the simulation results indicate that sharing information facilitates evolution of the planning ability although the free rider problem tends to be more serious than the situation where agents do not share information. It implies that there is a strong connection between evolution of the planning ability and symbolic communication.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. This paper explores several strategies for improving the analysis of EOG signals. This article explores its utilization for the extraction of features from EOG signals compared with parametric, frequency-based approach using an autoregressive (AR) model as well as template matching as a time based method. The results indicate that parametric AR modeling using the Burg method, which does not retain the phase information, gives poor class separation. Conversely, the projection on the approximation space of the fourth level of Haar wavelet decomposition yields feature sets that enhance the class separation. Furthermore, for this method the number of dimensions in the feature space is much reduced as compared to template matching, which makes it much more efficient in terms of computation. This paper also reports on an example application utilizing wavelet decomposition and the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) for classification, which was implemented and evaluated successfully. In this application, a virtual keyboard acts as the front-end for user interactions.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif.
