This research is motivated by the student’s ability to solve the social arithmetic problem. This study used four phases of developmental research such as Investigation, Design, Realization, and Test, Evaluation, and Revision. The characteristics of local wisdom were acquired within the design or context in the mathematics handout to develop secondary students problem-solving skills. The results show that the students do the stages of problem-solving by Polya, get the maximum score and show students’ positive responses in the questionnaire given. Therefore, it met the proper handout criteria such as valid, practice, and effective. Combinatory problems are one of the difficult problems for students to solve. This study aims to analyses students’ combinatorial thinking processes in solving problems. Given two combinatory problems that consist of problems with multiplication rule and combination. The Problems were given to two 11th grade senior-high school students. The results obtained were that there was a tendency for male Participants to do the two different ways which are direct counting and using diagram. The female participants did the work with one way which is direct counting. On more complex issues, namely about combination, students' thinking models go through stages of set of outcomes. From this research, it is expected that combinatory material learning is emphasized on the discovery of formulas by students themselves inductively, especially deductively. Penggunaan konteks merupakan salah satu karakteristik dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran konteks packaging dalam memberikan pemahaman konsep luas permukaan prisma dan mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran luas permukaan prisma melalui pendekatan PMRI. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode design research. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII D SMP N 5 Banguntapan Bantul Yogyakarta. Objek penelitian ini adalah pengenalan konsep luas permukaan prisma. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, rekaman video, data tertulis, dan observasi. Selanjutnya, teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data, validitas, dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konteks packaging dapat digunakan sebagai starting point dalam pembelajaran luas permukaan prisma. Sumber utama data pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. Sebanyak dua puluh enam siswa dari kelas VIII.B terlibat dalam penelitian ini. In order to have similar opportunity in supporting primary students’ spatial literacy on reasoning, it needs a clearer picture of primary students’ spatial literacy on reasoning in solving Mathematical Literacy Tasks (MLT) as the aim of this study. The characteristic of MLT satisfies the PISA framework and considering Context, Content (shape and space), Process as well as level of problem. Researcher only focuses on three MLT problems. The result is about description of analyzing three participants’ solution of MLT based on how they use kinds of spatial literacy on reasoning strategies. Dimensional reasoning is effective but the students didn’t use it often, the students seem like unfamiliar with these strategies. The responses suggest that because of the teacher didn’t use dimensional strategies in the class, so the student commonly didn’t use it often. Konsep dasar kalkulus yang terdiri dari limit, turunan, dan integral merupakan konsep yang saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Terlebih lagi, penguasaan strategi dalam menentukan turunan dan integral suatu fungsi merupakan fondasi bagi ilmu matematika yang lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisa metode diferensiasi logaritmik yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan turunan fungsi tertentu. Data diperoleh dari hasil analisis dokumen, wawancara, serta observasi mengenai proses berpikir mahasiswa, kesulitan yang dihadapi, serta alasan penggunaan metode diferensiasi logaritmik dalam menentukan turunan fungsi. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa cenderung menggunakan metode diferensiasi logaritmik jika menemui jenis fungsi rasional yang melibatkan pangkat pecahan pada setiap faktornya, maupun jika terdapat dua atau lebih faktor di pembilang dan penyebutnya, demikian pula pada jenis fungsi perkalian yang memiliki lebih dari dua faktor. Bahan Ajar yang akan dikembangkan telah divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli modul. Skor rata-rata untuk materi 4,68 dan masuk dalam kriteria sangat baik. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif diperlukan dalam memunculkan ide baru. Salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu pengajuan masalah matematika. Penelitian yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di Surabaya ini bertujuan untuk menggali kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam mengajukan masalah matematika pada situasi semi-terstruktur. Sebanyak 4 siswa dipilih sebagai subjek wawancara yaitu 1 subjek pada masing masing tingkat berpikir kreatif (TBK) 1—4. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dilakukan analisis tugas pengajuan masalah matematika berdasarkan kefasihan, kebaruan, dan fleksibilitas serta wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa pada TBK 1, 2, dan 3 membuat soal sederhana yang sering ditemui dalam pembelajaran matematika dan menjawab dengan cara yang telah diajarkan sebelumnya. Sedangkan siswa pada TBK 4 dapat membuat soal dan cara penyelesaian yang lebih kompleks dengan menambahkan dan memodifikasi situasi yang diberikan. Berpikir selalu melibatkan kognitif. Penggunaan kognitif secara maksimal tentu melibatkan kehadiran dari fungsi kognitif. Kehadiran fungsi kognitif seseorang dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika mengakibatkan berkembangnya fungsi kognitif seseorang tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil pemetaan fungsi kognitif dan kemampuan matematika siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas VIII sebanyak 32 siswa (15 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrument tes Feuersteins’s Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) (pengorganisasian titik, pengelompokan, dan progress numeral) dan instrumen tes matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peta fungsi kognitif dan kemampuan matematika siswa dengan menggunakan FIE jenis Pengorganisasian Titik menunjukkan bahwa, sebanyak 32 subjek terbagi menjadi sebesar 18,75% termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika tinggi, sebesar 71,875% termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika sedang, dan sebesar 9,375% termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika rendah. Untuk Jenis Pengelompokan menunjukkan bahwa masingmasing sebesar 6,25% pada fungsi kognitif yang pertama dan kedua, termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika rendah. pada fungsi kognitif yang ketiga terdapat 6,25% termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika tinggi, 3,125% termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika sedang, dan 78,125% termasuk dalam kemampuan matematika rendah.
