This study used a survey design and collected data from 300 teachers in 30 high schools in Sukabumi. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with SmartPLS. The results showed that teacher characteristics, education policies, and school quality had a significant positive impact on school effectiveness and high school student achievement. The study included 10 middle schools in Bandung, with a total of 150 teachers. The results indicate that teacher quality, teacher characteristics, and teacher teaching experience positively influence school quality, which in turn, impacts student performance. Permatasari, Bhenu Artha","doi":"10.58812/jpdws.v1i03.257","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.58812/jpdws.v1i03.257","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of teacher qualifications, classroom size, student age, and parental involvement on high school dropout rates in Sukabumi Regency. Using data from a survey of high school students in the region, multiple regression analysis was used to examine the relationships between these predictor variables and dropout rates. The results showed that all four predictor variables were significant predictors of dropout rates, with teacher qualifications and student age having the strongest influence. Specifically, having a teaching degree and license, having less than five years of teaching experience, being between the ages of 18 and 20, and larger class sizes were associated with higher dropout rates, while regular communication with teachers was associated with lower dropout rates. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur baik berupa buku, jurnal, catatan, laporan hasil penelitian yang relevan, maupun hasil observasi secara langsung di SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. Metode yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif untuk menggambarkan atau mendeskripsikan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik di sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Palembang telah mewujudkan identitasnya sebagai manusia Indonesia melalui penghayatan profil pelajar pancasila yang ada di sekolah. Perwujudan identitas yang mencakup nilai kebhinnekaan dan nilai pancasila dapat menumbuhkan karakter pancasilais. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keberagaman di lingkungan sekolah yaitu keberagaman suku, agama, dan latar belakang sosial ekonomi peserta didik. Adanya keberagaman ini dapat mewujudkan penghayatan dan penghargaan kebhinekatunggalikaan dan nilai pancasila yang ditandai dengan terdapat simbol dan tanda perwujudan di lingkungan sekolah. Hasilnya adalah bahwa profil pelajar Pancasila memegang peran penting dalam membentuk identitas nasional dan mempersiapkan generasi muda untuk menghadapi dampak negatif era Revolusi Industri 4.0.
