However, people with neurological, gait, and locomotion disorders experience numerous obstacles in performing daily activities. To assist such a population, tracking and estimating gait parameters with minimum circuitry is one of the foremost steps. In the present research, a machine learning-based system has been developed to estimate the temporal gait characteristics, critical gait events, and gait phases. Moreover, the developed system required only a single inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor. The performance of the developed system has been estimated for three classifiers, support vector machine (SVM), linear discriminant analysis (LDA), and K-nearest neighbor (KNN), over five healthy subjects. For gait events identification, the average classification accuracy depicted by SVM, LDA, and KNN classifiers are, $91.53 pm 4.23 %, 91.68 pm 5.76 %$, and $90.62 pm 5.19 %$ (p-value $gt0.05$), respectively. Further, for gait phase estimation, the average performance is shown by SVM, LDA, and KNN classifiers, $94.40 pm 5.14 %, 97.03 pm 3.20 %$, and $91.94 pm 4.52 %$ (p-value $lt 0.05$), respectively. The developed system provides a cost-effective solution for gait characterization.","PeriodicalId":286808,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126127447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents the development of a real-time, IoT-based solar monitoring system. General purpose microcontroller has been integrated with current and voltage sensors to collect the data. The collective data is displayed, and the power produced is calculated using an IoT analysis platform. Actual current, voltage and power measurements have been done using an available ammeter, voltmeter and wattmeter respectively. Calculation of the error between the actual measurements and IoT-based measurements is calculated under various load conditions. A tiny flash memory card has been used for long-term storage. Thing Speak an IoT-based analytics platform service has been used for visualization and analysis. The performance evaluation which is done on the basis of error calculation reveals the conformity between the actual and the IoT-based measurements. The developed system has been validated under constant temperature and humidity conditions. In future, the model can be tested for variable temperature and humidity conditions on hybrid PV systems.","PeriodicalId":286808,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125425309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, intrusion detection systems (IDS) were developed that become an important tool in security mechanism for Internet of Things (IoT). Over the years, a significant number of IDS have been developed; however, choosing the best can be tough sometimes. In this paper, different IDS developed over the last few years have been reviewed. The major focus of this review is to analyze the importance of IDS in computer networks and IoT, issues and possible solutions to overcome these challenges. In addition to this, role of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) algorithms in detecting intrusions is also analyzed and discussed. Moreover, the key findings after reviewing the literature study are also mentioned in this work in which we find that majority of the researchers are moving towards the DL based algorithms for detecting intrusions because of their ability to handle large datasets. Therefore, by selecting a suitable method will enhance the detection rate.","PeriodicalId":286808,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125499684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to their decentralized nature, high reliability, efficiency, scalability, and accessibility, many organizations have adopted cloud computing and IoT to a certain degree due to the wave of digitalization. However, these technologies have several challenges on their way ahead that impact their growth in the future. The most sensitive and critical issues are related to security and privacy. The rapid growth and usage of these technologies make security and privacy concerns even more significant. Today, security and privacy concerns may represent one of the critical hazards regarding data confidentiality. There is very little evidence available to measure that the existing and emerging concerns of Cloud Computing and Internet of Things in this decade are being addressed to match the rapid growth ahead. This study aims to determine how such issues and concerns can be solved by reviewing recent challenges and trends on the IoT and cloud computing. Specifically, it reviews how these challenges have a considerable impact on data digitalization and cloud convergence. In this context, Cloud of Things (CoT) will be analyzed, including its applications and effectivity as the incorporation of the IoT and cloud computing, concerning privacy, and security and its capacity to enhance the current paradigm.","PeriodicalId":286808,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122736172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The literature has well established the function of ICT in stimulating economic growth. The work focuses on the relationship between the ICT use index and GDP based on the last 30-year time series multivariate data. The variables having a high correlation with respect to GDP has taken for the analysis. This work also forecasts the next 10-year growth in ICT use index and GDP w.r.t each other using machine learning and deep learning models which are linear regression(LR), random forest(RF), temporal convolutional network(TCN), Kalman forecaster(KF), Neural Basis Expansion Analysis for Interpretable Time Series Forecasting (NBEATS) model and transformer model. There are eight performance metrics we have used for model evaluation. The transformer model has been suggested as the best predicting model with the least root mean squared error value of 0.326, mean absolute error of 0.51, mean absolute ranged relative error of 52.592, and so on. This paper also suggested policies to foster the country’s economic growth using ICT.","PeriodicalId":286808,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS)","volume":"132 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122054651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As they head closer to an excellent greater tech-pushed future, the improvement capabilities are steadily in demand. This has led researchers to find the human dependency and trust on machines in a VR simulation. Human trust is one of the main factors through which they can become more dependent on the machines. If the trust of a person on machines is high, then they can say that humans are more dependent on machines. Physiological sensor data such as electroencephalography (EEG) and galvanic skin response (GSR) are being used to evaluate the trust. In this paper, we proposed an approach which can be used for evaluating the human trust on machines by creating a Virtual Reality based driving simulator in which the player has to follow the path told to them by the machine. In our work, we extracted features using different methods. We did the Fourier analysis to study the spectral amplitude. Time Frequency Representation (TFR) was performed using Morlet Wavelets and Multitaper. Power Spectral Density (PSD) was computed using Welch’s Method and Multitaper. All these methods were analyzed to evaluate the trust in Human Machine teams. Our results indicate that all the frequency bands – delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma showed significant features related to trust.","PeriodicalId":286808,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Computing, Communication, and Intelligent Systems (ICCCIS)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124600596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
