In this paper, a new code family of novel spreading sequences, called Multi-Service (MS) code has been constructed in order to support multiple services in OCDMA system. The performance of the proposed code is demonstrated using mathematical analysis. Different numbers of basic users are used to support triple-play services (audio, data and video) with different QoS requirements. Results indicate that the technique can clearly provide a relative QoS differentiation. Lower value of basic users can support larger number of subscribers as well as delivering better performance in terms of acceptable BER of 10-9 at fixed code weight.","PeriodicalId":282572,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th International Conference on Photonics (ICP)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127408939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Demand on non-invasive measurement has invites research and development of new detection methods to measure blood glucose level. In this work, a very sensitive optical polarimetry measurement technique using ratio-metric photon counting detection has been introduced and tested for a range of known glucose concentrations that mimic the level of glucose in human blood. The setup utilizes 785nm diode laser that emits weak coherent optical signal onto glucose concentration samples in aqueous. The result shows a linear proportional of different glucose concentration and successfully detected 10260 mg/dl to 260 mg/dl glucose samples. This indicates a potential improvement method for non-invasive glucose measurement by a sensitive polarimetry based optical sensor in single photon level for biomedical applications.","PeriodicalId":282572,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th International Conference on Photonics (ICP)","volume":"378 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126971109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Up/downstream data carried by wavelengths in C-band with channel spacing 25/50GHz and all the data encoded by modified quadratic congruence code (MQC). The MPON network has been implemented to increase the system capacity by using the same code and same prime number. This indicates that, the multi premises are directly proportional with the prime number. Although the receiver sensitivity is affected by the multi premises system, the bit error rate value is still sufficient for good system performance.","PeriodicalId":282572,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 5th International Conference on Photonics (ICP)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132885957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
