Poverty among Roma communities in Europe is the reason for the growth of racism in almost all EU countries. On the other hand, Roma communities are becoming more organized and responding to existing forms of racism. One form of Roma response is emancipation and expansion of the language they use. The purpose of the articleis to show a template model for language analysis of spoken text. The article also shows the empowerment of the Roma community in Germany, openly opposing existing forms of Antiromanism. Research methods and techniques. The study included one Romani speaker, a young Romani man born in Serbia who immigrated to Germany as a child. In his everyday communicative ecology, he speaks four languages: Romani, Serbian, German and English. Sociolinguistic methods are used to analyze his language. When speaking German, he uses lexical units of Romani and English, and at the same time uses various sociolinguistic strategies known among multilinguals. Results and discussion. A Romani speaker is fluent in German, and uses situational lexical borrowings from Romani and English, code-switching sentences, discursive strategies such as cursing and neologisms. The presented model of speech analysis can be used for further sociolinguistic research, analyzing the data of spoken spoken language. Conclusions.The powers of the Roma in supporting Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war are shown, during this war is condemned. This article aims to advance the development of the normative dimension of securitization as strategic crisis communication theory. Securitization is a powerful persuasive tool because it builds an argument that an existential threat is looming and extraordinary measures should be employed to counter it (Buzan et al., 1998; Vultee in Balzacq, 2010; Watson, 2012). Research methods and techniques. The theorization in this article is based on an analysis exploring a set of cases of Slovakia’s counter-pandemic measures during the first two years of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. Results and discussion. The case study of Slovakiais informative because the instances there reflect a broader array of problems that are experienced across various global societies; for example, a failure to introduce measures that are inclusive of the marginalized people in terms of ethno-racial discrimination or digital disparities. The analysis helps to extract a set of practical recommendations that aim to craft ethically-sound securitized discourses for persuasive purposes during crises. The framework proposed by Floyd (2011; 2019) is used as the main scaffold for normative securitization and is further enhanced by the relevant ethics standards of the strategic communication field, leading to the introduced lineup of recommendations. Conclusions. The author provides recommendations for the use of securitization methods: 1) establishing the causes of securitization (determining the cause of the threat to a particular type of security; establishing a clear and transparent set of guidelines to consistently determine which frame is reasonably superior to another frame (s)); 2) taking into account the reference object of securitization (inclusion of all victims and groups; establishing a clear and transparent set of guidelines for determining the consequences of non-human entities and concepts from a regulatory point of view).Keywords:securitization, strategic crisis communication theory, normative communication theory, COVID-19 communication, pandemic communication, Slovakia","PeriodicalId":281834,"journal":{"name":"Social Communications: Theory and PracticeS","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129118135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The narrators of the storiesof survival are former sent-away-children who stayed in convalescent homes between 1950 and 1970; they document their experiences and their struggle for respect in their personal environment and for public recognition in the volume Heimweh –Verschickungskinder erzählen. The aim of the study. Based on a psychoanalytically inspired narrative concept, the article explores the question how the narrators are able to tell a story about their lives as their own and authentic life story. Research methods and techniques. This presupposes that not only experiences accessible to memory, but also repressed and pre-linguistic experiences have to be included in life story narration. Results and discussion. Pivotal categories of analysis are the terms “turning point” (Wendepunkte) and “threshold experience” (Schwellenerfahrungen). Four finished and completed narratives have been selected for analysis –two in which repressed experiences have found entry in the story telling, and two in which the struggle with remembering still is ongoing. Methodologically, I worked with a process of sense making (IPA) that reflects the subjectivity of all persons involved in the analysis, their previous experiences, their self-understandings and their theoretical assumptions, thereby disclosing their experiential space. Conclusions.An interesting finding of the analysis is that a) the level of violence experienced in the recovery homes cannot be considered as the only cause of repression and language disruption; b) children and adolescentswho had already developed resilience skills in their life history before their stay in the recovery homes were better able to resist the adversities in the recovery homes.Keywords: Sent-Away-Children; life story; repression and language destruction; remembering; resilience skills.","PeriodicalId":281834,"journal":{"name":"Social Communications: Theory and PracticeS","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131330709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research methods and techniques.The material of the research includes 144 English publications obtained from the official accounts of Joe Biden and Boris Johnson. The qualitative and quantitative methods are used in the research namely: the methods of information analysis, synthesis, comparison, linguistic description,content analysis, and the semantic-syntactic method. The Voyant Tools program is used for data analysis. The content analysis of publications of the political leaders of the USA and UK on Instagram shows the difference in the number of their posts which indicates different attitudes of the politicians and their teams in the use of the social network when achieving their political goals. The genrestructure depends on the development of information technology, as well as on the type of device into which it is entered and which affects the order of heading placement, the format of the page, as well as the position of a text comment in relation to a video or photo. Results and discussion. The results obtained testify that both verbal and nonverbal constituencies of instagraming present inseparable parts of this genre. It is possible to speak about the hybridization of the digital genre as an inseparable feature. Conclusions. General scientific methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization were used during the consideration of the theoretical basis of the researched question and the formulation of conclusions. The descriptive method helped in determining the features of the authors' implementation of merch in modern market relations. A systematic approach was applied, which made it possible to outline the development directions of the author's personal branding thanks to merch technologies. The survey method helped to collect information about the object under study. The development of the questionnaire involved the formulation of program questions, translation of the language of science into questions addressed to the respondents. A total of 16 questions with a list and two with a text option. The survey process itself took place using a Google form through messenger channel mailings. The total number of respondents is 29 people over the age of 18. At the final stage, the received data were processed and analyzed. Results and discussion. In almost all indicators, we observe the opinion of the interviewees regarding the situational nature of using merch in enhancing the image and building the author's personal brand. Perhaps that is why the demand for merch is not so high yet. Getting feedback from the target audience is now the main task in creating a merch product. Conclusions. Research methods and techniques. Descriptive, systematic methods, methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, classification methods, and statistical methods were used during the research. The methodology ofthe research was the following procedures: in the newspaper «Movie courier» (1996) we found interviews and journalistic texts from interviews, in which the dominant part is the interview. Genre models of journalistic texts are singled out. Using the systematic method, the content and form of 68 interviews and journalistic texts, in which the dominant part is the interview, were analyzed. The classification of the interviewer's tools is proposed and the frequency of its use is clarified. Functional featuresof interview headlines and journalistic texts from interviews are singled out, features of their creation are clarified. Research results. During the research, 18 models of journalistic texts with a dominant part of interviews were singled out, which, according to the classification we proposed earlier, can be combined as follows: genre hybrid, genre combination, genre conglomerate. Conclusions.The above-mentioned models of journalistic tests with the dominant part of the interview provide a multi-vector coverage of the image of the interviewee due to polyphony, the «blurring» of genre boundaries, which cause the transformation of informational genres, the use of artistic means that create additional meanings, the expansion of journalistic tools, in particular, the activation of the use of various types statements and statements with questions, which are also inherent in traditional interviews. The most pronounced activities of negative people are mostly manifested in politics, political parties, criminal environment, terrorism, ruling structures, on the streets, in institutions and even in power structures. The mass appearance of people with negative characteristics endangers the safety of individuals, social groups, institutions or people with different views, behavior and activities. The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of a negative personality and how they influence others, the characteristics of their behavior and values in the course of realizing their desires in achieving their own goals. Research methods and techniques. Survey, quantitative-qualitative method, analysis and synthesis were used as a method. 180 respondents living in Belgrade were asked to answer 6 standard questions. Results and discussion. In a study conducted by Turchynovych from the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka, it was proven that negative people in politics and social institutions pose a threat to society as a whole, contribute to conflicts between people, nations and states and cause other misfortunes. According to Turchynovych's research, for Banja Luka respondents, Bosnians are scoundrels with undesirable traits, religious, nationalistic,talkative, backward and fanatical. For respondents in Sarajevo, Serbs are nationalists, aggressive, rhetorical, ruthless and cruel (Turchynovych, 2004). Conclusions. Research methods and techniques. The socio-psychological approach made it possible to apply the method of associative experiment, the results of which were cognitively interpreted. The associations obtained for the stimulus word «female military serviceman» were compared with the associations for the stimulus words «soldier (warrior)» and «woman», which made it possible to understand the respondents' ideas about masculinity and femininity.Results and discussion. The gender identification of a woman in the army is a dynamic process that aims to harmonize interactions with the military professional environment and military activities, and has three main trends: 1) the desire to meet the instructions of male ethics as a normative standard, to adhere to the gender patterns of the masculine society of the armed forces can cause dressing as a woman masks and construction of an insincere, faked gender identity, as a result of which internal genderconflict and psychological states of alienation, discomfort, dissonance and disharmony are possible; 2) distancing from traditional notions of femininity and assimilation of masculine models of gender behavior, which can contribute to the psychological support of women's professional military activities, if masculinity becomes a true full-fledged identity of a female military serviceman; 3) construction of a balanced military identity, which combines the features of the traditional identity of a soldier (warrior) and femininity. Conclusions. Eliminating gender discrimination and successfully ensuring gender equality in the Armed Forces of Ukraine depends not only on the expansion of women's rights and opportunities, but also on the integration of the gendercomponent into the educational programs of training specialists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and permanent gender education aimed at increasing the level of gender literacy of female military personnel.Keywords: gender, army, identity, masculinity, femininity, gender equality, gender discrimination.","PeriodicalId":281834,"journal":{"name":"Social Communications: Theory and PracticeS","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130471762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
