The purpose of the study is to analyze the clinical, psychological characteristics of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy, to identify significant correlations between clinical and psychometric characteristics in patients with different course of epilepsy. The study included 60 patients diagnosed with epilepsy, divided into 2 groups: 30 patients with drug-resistant epilepsy and 30 patients with seizure remission. Patients underwent psychometric tests. Statistical differences were assessed using non-parametric statistics, Spearman's coefficient was used for correlation analysis, data at p < 0.05 were considered reliable. Clinical predictors of drug-resistant epilepsy were consistent with those described earlier in the literature: early onset of seizures, long duration of the disease and frequency of seizures, the prevalence of focal seizures, symptomatic structural variant of epilepsy. Negative correlations have been found between seizure frequency and levels of neuroticism and self-destructive behavior. Thus, high anxiety caused a more responsible attitude of patients to the treatment process, increasing their compliance. In patients with drug-resistant epilepsy, negative personality characteristics correlated with insufficiency of the inhibition process. The influence of neuroticism, alexithymia extended to a greater number of personality traits and behavior, indicating their systemic impact on the behavior of patients. The construction of models of behavior in conflict by patients with drug-resistant epilepsy reflected a tendency to compensate for personality traits through ineffective avoidance behavior, to demonstrate a lack of flexibility. Drug-resistant epilepsy is an important medical and social problem. The relationship of the disease with psychological and behavioral characteristics is close and complex, so such patients need clinical and psychological support to optimize the treatment process.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126097678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article deals with the prevalence of depression symptoms and the characteristics of depressive state in women registered pregnant. To study the prevalence of depression symptoms and psycho-emotional state questionnaires were used. The WAM questionnaire was used to assess well-being, activity and mood, and the Beck Depression Inventory was used to diagnose depression. The prevalence of depression symptoms in women registered pregnant was 14.9%. Social characteristics did not influence the appearance of symptoms, but living conditions demonstrated such a relationship. Depression risk during pregnancy is three times higher in women who do not have their own housing, but rent it. The indicator of ‘depression’ according to the Beck Depression Inventory was negatively correlated with the indicators of ‘well-being’, ‘mood’ and ‘activity’ (rs= -0.474, р < 0.001, rs= -0.356, р = 0.002, rs = -0.468, р < 0.001). It was also found that the odds ratio of having signs of depression in women registered pregnant is 8.1 times higher when feeling unwell, 7.7 times higher in decreased activity and 17.4 times higher in low mood. The presented characteristics of the depressive state in women registered pregnant have shown that the study of psycho-emotional state in women at different gestation periods can make it possible to notice signs that can lead to postpartum depression and to start a prevention program in time.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"234 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116418063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Psychological well-being is considered as a multicomponent concept, including cognitive, emotional and behavioral components. 55 artists aged between 19 and 60 took part in the survey. A structured interview about psychological well-being was conducted. Data processing was carried out by means of content analysis. Eight sense-groups related to artists' perceptions of psychological well-being were identified: relationships with others, calm, harmony, mindfulness, satisfaction, mental and physical health and financial well-being. The sense-groups of artists' representations show that the emotional component predominates over the cognitive and behavioral components. However, members of the creative professions find it difficult to manage and regulate their emotional state. Their high sensitivity could be a possible reason. In order to find a foothold in life, they resort to the support of their immediate environment and the establishment of a dialogue with their target audience. Meaningfulness becomes a source of understanding themselves, their thoughts and motives. They become responsible not only for themselves and their lives, but also for the cultural products they create. Presenting their work, where quality prevails over quantity, is part of their self-presentation and self-expression. The study results focus on artists' everyday perceptions of psychological well-being and can be used by psychologists and teachers at secondary and higher education institutions who interact both with students and creative professionals to develop preventive programs aimed at improving the well-being and quality of life of artists.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133667932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The prerequisites for the emergence of a gaming solution are described, which are primarily associated with changes in thinking, understanding and ability of the modern generation of students to work with various types of information. The characteristic features of the educational game as one of the types of interactive learning are given, and its main advantages are revealed: activation of students' thinking, increasing their overall activity in the classroom, independence; formation of the ability to work in a team, to respect the opinions of others, as well as, tolerance for different points of view. The paper notes an important cognitive advantage of using the game in the educational process, which is to increase the quality and speed of assimilation of the educational content by students. Attention is paid to the possibility of applied games to solve problems that are beyond the scope of gaming activity, the format being very popular in the modern world. The forms of the game implementation within the framework of full-time and distance learning are described, a brief description of the game itself is given, studies of students’ reaction to the game process are given and recommendations on the use of the game in the practice of education are described.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"174 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133409654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, there is an increase in the prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in people of young working age. Along with this, there is a lack of awareness about the perception of patients with IBD of their illness, which in turn may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment provided. The 2021 Clinical Guidelines developed by the Russian Gastroenterological Association mention not only drug treatment, but also psychotherapeutic effects. In this connection, the need to improve the psychological diagnosis and treatment process of patients with IBD is explained. In the course of the study, a comparative analysis of the components of the perception of the illness and self-efficacy in overcoming the disease among patients who perceive their disease as a severe and moderate threat was carried out. The results obtained indicate the need for an integrated approach in accompanying patients with IBD, including both individual psychological counseling and protocols for group psychotherapeutic interventions aimed at correcting the negative perception of the disease, subclinical and clinical levels of anxiety, increasing self-efficacy in relation to overcoming the disease and treatment.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124692812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author's modification of the K. Hooker’s questionnaire for the study of possible self is used, which additionally includes an assessment of the probability for realizing these possible selves with the help of personal’s own efforts and through changes in the outside world that cannot be controlled. The variety of topics of possible selves is determined, they are proposed by the respondent as areas of possible changes in oneself, while the boundaries of personality change. It has been suggested that there are differences in the personality characteristics of those who put forward a large number of possible selves, desired and avoided, and those who focus on a small number of them. The sample consisted of 152 medical students of 1–3 years of training, including 29 male and 124 female with the average age of 19.15 ± 0.97 years old. The results showed that persons with a large number of desired possible selves are more likely to see the role of their own activity in the realization of a possible self, and those who put forward a large number of avoidable possible selves are characterized by less social mediation of behavior, introversion, isolation and rigidity; they see a significant role of their own aggressiveness in achieving what they want.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127647439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The discussed problem deals with the control of content provided on the Internet, which promotes cruelty, violence, misunderstanding of the values of goodness and spirituality. All this leads to the fact that teenagers’ and high school students’ consciousness is destructively influenced by the values of the criminal world, extremist associations, various kinds of protests and mass involvement in illegal actions and riots. These issues are also considered in the works of foreign authors, where there is confirmation of the presence of the detrimental effect of digitalization on the students’ personality. The article touches upon the issue of the value orientations formation, worldview attitudes, the possibilities of self-realization based on the knowledge of the \"I-image\" in adolescents and young men. Systematic and purposeful work on the formation of value orientations corresponding to the traditional concepts of good and evil, morality and morality, allows young men to resolve the contradictions that arise between the digital norms of morality and their own opinion, their view of reality. The authors present the research of deviant activity in the digital environment among high school students. As a result of the study, indicators of the facts of the occurrence and commission of certain forms of deviant activity of high school students with deviations in the digital environment were determined. Based on the results obtained, a conclusion was drawn regarding the assessment of deviant activity in the real and virtual environment of high school students with deviations in the digital environment.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"12 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128733377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This problem is particularly relevant for the young audience, which is the potential of modern society. The situation of social instability caused by the COVID-19 epidemic leads to a narrowing of the time range of life planning, does not allow us to correlate our own goals with the prospects for the society development objectively. The article presents the results of empirical research of socio-psychological predictors of the representation of the future representatives of generation Z and generation Y. The effects of factors such as social media engagement, self-reported social identity, and cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of the image of the future in generation Z and generation Y have been studied. Intergenerational differences in cognitive and behavioral aspects of the image of the future are revealed: representatives of generation Y have a higher assessment of collective risks and readiness to help others in difficult life circumstances. The main predictor of the cognitive aspect of the image of the future representatives of generation Z is cognitive absorption in social networks, and representatives of generation Y – compulsive use of social networks. The self-assessment of patriotic identity affects the behavioral aspect of the image of the future representatives of generation Z and generation Y.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131466656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis of studies shows that psychological factors are taken into account less likely when assessing the success of rehabilitation of athletes, although it is due to these factors that a faster and optimal return to sports activity can be ensured, and accordingly the adaptation of an athlete in changed conditions. Most of the reseachers devoted to the analysis of factors of successful rehabilitation and the state of mental health of athletes after a limb injury discuss these factors from the perspective of a model of returning to competitive activity. One of the most complete models is the model for predicting repeated sports injuries by A. Christakou, N.A. Stavrou et al.. Among the psychological factors, there is a fear of repeated injury, self-doubt during the competition, increased concentration on their feelings in the injured limb, the specifics of the injury itself. In addition, the authors note such factors as increased personal anxiety, low self-esteem, high sports identity, kinesiophobia, which determine the specifics of athletes' mental health. Conducted meta-analytical studies on the success of rehabilitation of athletes show that among the negative factors, there are such as: disappointment, increased anxiety, fear, reduced motivation. Maladaptive coping strategies also lead to the fact that an athlete has difficulties during the recovery process and when returning to training and sports activities. The lack of a sense of control, negative expectations from interaction with the medical staff, assessment of support from relatives and friends as insufficient also less likely contributes to the positive dynamics of the athlete's rehabilitation.","PeriodicalId":281689,"journal":{"name":"PERSONALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HEALTH, ADAPTATION, DEVELOPMENT","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126870200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
