SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS OF THE REPRESENTATION OF THE FUTURE OF ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTH OF KUBAN
The modern social situation is characterized by rapidly increased uncertainty, uncertainty of the present and unpredictability of the future. This problem is particularly relevant for the young audience, which is the potential of modern society. The situation of social instability caused by the COVID-19 epidemic leads to a narrowing of the time range of life planning, does not allow us to correlate our own goals with the prospects for the society development objectively. The article presents the results of empirical research of socio-psychological predictors of the representation of the future representatives of generation Z and generation Y. The effects of factors such as social media engagement, self-reported social identity, and cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of the image of the future in generation Z and generation Y have been studied. Intergenerational differences in cognitive and behavioral aspects of the image of the future are revealed: representatives of generation Y have a higher assessment of collective risks and readiness to help others in difficult life circumstances. The main predictor of the cognitive aspect of the image of the future representatives of generation Z is cognitive absorption in social networks, and representatives of generation Y – compulsive use of social networks. The self-assessment of patriotic identity affects the behavioral aspect of the image of the future representatives of generation Z and generation Y.
