Based on these empirical observations, it is proved that rule 62 defines a subsystem with complicated dynamical properties in the bi-infinite symbolic sequence space, such as topologically mixing and positive topological entropy. An appropriate Poincaré section of Chen’s attractor is chosen to obtain the corresponding Poincaré map which is proved to be semi-conjugate to a 2-shift map. This implies that Chen’s attractor has positive topological entropy, thus in this sense it is chaotic. The method used is somewhat simpler and more convenient than the classical Ši’lnikov method.","PeriodicalId":279256,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Workshop on Chaos-Fractals Theories and Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130541775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve high-quality extracted watermark under some image attacks, the algorithm selects a suitable image arbitrarily and performs fractal encoding for the image. Then the image is decoded after the watermark image takes the place of the luminance shifting factor in the fractal codebook. Finally according to sub-block DCT watermarking algorithm, the decoded binary image is embedded into the DCT middle frequency coefficients of the original image to obtain the watermarked image. Experimental results demonstrate the good robustness and invisibility of our approach proposed.","PeriodicalId":279256,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Workshop on Chaos-Fractals Theories and Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129638858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The possible damage to Hopf bifurcation caused by the NDCRs is put forward and confirmed by the simulations. The conception of the relative reliability of Hopf bifurcation is brought forward. In order to made the nth-order Hopf bifurcation relatively reliable, a new algebraic criterion is given, which can also help identifying the direction of bifurcation and the stability of the limit cycle. The example and simulation of the fourth-order controlled Lorenz system is presented to show the effectiveness and convenience of the criterion. Via adjusting of a distance parameter, the adverse influences induced by the NDCRs can be avoided.","PeriodicalId":279256,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Workshop on Chaos-Fractals Theories and Applications","volume":"32 64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121795183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
