In this sense, this work presents a proposal of an architecture and a tool that uses Thesauri in the Portuguese language in order to amplify and refine the search results when looking for Learning Objects in a syntactic search.","PeriodicalId":278097,"journal":{"name":"2017 Twelfth Latin American Conference on Learning Technologies (LACLO)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129968927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is defined as a process in which “questions are asked about the natural world, hypotheses are generated, research is designed, and data are collected and analyzed in order to find a solution to the problem” (2). This research project in development seeks to implement the IBL in the subject of Natural Sciences, in order to analyze the contribution of this didactic strategy to the acquisition of scientific skills in the seventh grade students of an educational institution in virtual mode. The didactic sequence will be developed using virtual educational resources, virtual objects of learning (VLO) and other tools that allow to enrich the Virtual Learning Environment. A mixed research approach will be used with both quantitative and qualitative tools. The analysis of information will be performed through the implementation of triangulation and descriptive statistics that will allow the measurement of the incidence of IBL using the T-Student statistic and hypothesis tests.","PeriodicalId":278097,"journal":{"name":"2017 Twelfth Latin American Conference on Learning Technologies (LACLO)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133263149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four stages are identified related with this kind of applications: conceptual design, development cycle, put into practice and evaluation. This paper is focus on the first stage, the conceptual design. For this stage, relevant features are described. In particular, good practices of software engineering could be used for the design stage. As part of conceptual design, guidelines are provided to define learning content decoupled of relevant locations of physical space (indoor or outdoor). This allows to reuse both in different applications.","PeriodicalId":278097,"journal":{"name":"2017 Twelfth Latin American Conference on Learning Technologies (LACLO)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122402526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People with ASD present difficulties in the comprehension of figurative language, such as idioms. Due to the lack of mobile applications that support people with ASD in the comprehension of Chilean idioms, this project presents the design and development of an application for multitouch devices that support the comprehension of these linguistic expressions. The application is free and can currently be found on the Google Play platform with highly positive reviews.","PeriodicalId":278097,"journal":{"name":"2017 Twelfth Latin American Conference on Learning Technologies (LACLO)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128745343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is intended to configure a device in its social, technical, institutional and textual aspects, enabling the deployment of mediated educational practices for the active appropriation of the heritage, enhancing the creative, exploratory and playful use of Information and Communication Technologies. The methodology of the development of the first prototype called “Creative Monument” has an interdisciplinary character under a socio-technical approach. The instruments and techniques come from the qualitative perspective and software engineering. The regional socio-technical alliance that constitutes the working group is composed of several well-known actors of the city, members of government institutions, research and education. The selected open source content management system is Drupal. The collaborative editing content file was designed from tree interrelated categories: Citizenship Builders, Creative Itineraries and Open Works. The work prospective is focused on having a scalable operational prototype coming from the community participation.","PeriodicalId":278097,"journal":{"name":"2017 Twelfth Latin American Conference on Learning Technologies (LACLO)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114593544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
