However, considerable weaknesses are still evident where complex processes need to be executed. As an alternative approach, we study a functional top-down model inspired by the findings of psychoanalysis. This model has recently been extended to include functions of location awareness and navigation. The purpose of this paper is to verify the functionality added to the psychoanalytically inspired agents by means of a simulation. To this end, we start from a psychoanalytically formulated use case. The narrative is examined for its main challenges and translated and subsequently implemented in a technical simulation environment. Results of the simulations are discussed and interpreted with respect to the original psychoanalytically formulated use case.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130136771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Machine learning time series models have been implemented to forecast COVID-19 infections. In this paper, we develop time series models for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries using the public COVID-19 dataset from Johns Hopkins. The dataset set includes the one-year cumulative COVID-19 cases between 22/01/2020 to 22/01/2021. We developed different models for the countries under study based on the spatial distribution of the infection data. Our experimental results show that the developed models can forecast COVID-19 infections with high precision.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130774777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research employs three-dimensional (3D) finite element analysis (FEA) to determine the effect of this treatment on the mechanical strength of the tooth. Computed Tomography (CT) datasets of human canines with and without the treatment are used to analyze stress distribution using advanced image processing suite. An arbitrary load of a 4mm is applied on the surface of the model to create a loading condition relative to the natural chewing force. Boundary conditions are applied and the deformation due to load is measured. In comparison to an untreated tooth, the model with the endodontic treatment showed higher levels of stress and deformation, and therefore, a higher risk of fracture. Conclusion: Current methods in endodontic treatment causes mechanical weakness and reduce tooth stability making it more prone to fractures. Existing methods endodontic treatment needs serious re-considerations. For this purpose, information in this study could be used in further research to study different techniques that may decrease the weakness caused.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"274 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121363872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to improve the tracking accuracy of moving object, an intelligent tracking method of moving object in sports video is proposed. Firstly, collecting sports videos, considering the diversity of moving objects in sports videos, using improved background updating difference method to detect moving objects, then using Kalman filter algorithm to track moving objects, finally, tracking experiments of multiple sports video moving objects are carried out. The results show that the method can track the moving object accurately and quickly, and the real-time performance of the moving object tracking is better than other tracking methods. It provides a new research tool for the moving object tracking in sports video.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128586329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to its integrality, interaction and coupling, single-point risks will \"pull one hair and the whole body is affected\" through spreading and cascading, forming an overall deep impact on the overall safety of the road network. Aiming at the existing rail transit node importance evaluation methods that seldom consider the problem of cascaded failure, this paper proposes a node importance evaluation method in the sense of dynamic cascaded failure to provide theoretical support for the protection and optimization of key nodes in the road network. Finally, a simulation example of the regional rail transit network in Chengdu-Chongqing area verifies the effectiveness of this method.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114245651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation component reflects our industrial partner’s transport routes and parameters under normal and abnormal conditions. The simulated transport events are fed into our situational awareness system for detecting temperature anomalies or potential box tampering. The situational awareness system features a logic-based modeling language and an inference engine that tolerates incomplete or erroneous observations. The paper describes the approach and experimental results in more detail.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125254189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In reality, Human Reconstruction is applied more and more widely in various domains of people's life such as healthcare, education, sport, entertainment, fashion, anthropometry…especially in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Technically, the digitalization of human shape and pose is being implemented by two main solutions. The first solution aims to re-create 3D shape and pose of people by using a set of 2D images from different view angles. The second method focuses on handling with the point cloud which is acquired from a set of depth cameras. Both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. The current trend of 3D Human Reconstruction is to try recreating human shape and pose not only from various available sources (images, point cloud) but also from natural sources (surveillance camera). However, the accuracy of current solutions is significantly sensitive to the working environment. Therefore, this work gives an attempt to develop two human reconstruction methods and evaluate their performance in various conditions as synthetic, laboratory, and real-world environments. The results show a comparison of human reconstruction's accuracy due to the working environment and method of approach. In the synthetic environment, the accuracy is highest for both two methods because of the perfection of input. The accuracy of these methods is lower in the remaining environment. Besides, the result also proves that point cloud-based method is more sensitive than image-based method due to the limitation of hardware devices.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"291 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120879644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We need to find a way to help people choose a best summer job. We constructed a three-tier system to comprehensively illustrate the factors that high school students need to consider when looking for a summer job from the criteria of comfort, salary, personal gain, and matching degree. Under each criterion lie several sub-criteria (which are discussed later in detail). We also investigated students’ opinions toward each factor to get the judgement matrices for our AHP model. To reduce the subjectivity of the AHP model and reduce the correlation of various indexes in model construction, the AHP model and principal component analysis model were combined to construct the optimal weight model to obtain the optimal weight. And we utilized K-means clustering model to classify the work, adopted elbow method to determine the K value of the number of categories divided according to SSE (Sum of the squared errors) from the perspective of the data itself, and selected the class with the highest clustering center as the selection range of students. Finally we created ten fictional persons based on the samples we chose. The relevant questionnaires tested the students' character ability, and we used the GRNN neural network model to map the questionnaire to the weight. In this way, our model can conveniently get the weight result and calculate to help students find the optimal jobs collection by filling in the questionnaire.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"52 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116480834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of this, the complexity of ports as systems has increased. Ports are pressured to constantly invest and to improve policies to increase the ports’ efficiency while maintaining a high level of safety and robustness. Proposed policies can be tested using simulation in a cost effective and safe way, but there is a lack of freely available, open-source harbour simulators for research and policy testing. In this paper, we present PySeidon, an open-source, modular, and generic port simulation framework written in Python. A proof-of-concept model of the Port of Rotterdam has been developed in PySeidon. We demonstrate the usefulness of this framework by performing scenario testing and comparing normal and anomalous agent behavior as well as two tugboat company policies with the model of the Port of Rotterdam.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133574995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, around its work site, besides static obstacles, there are many dynamic obstacles, such as workers and engineering vehicles. These obstacles are potential risk for crane in congested work site. Therefore, risk probability and loss can be reduced in project of lifting engineering by dynamic lift-path planning system. However, presently, most proposed methods pay attention to search path in totally known environment. In this paper, we present a dynamic obstacles avoidance planner for crawler cranes in no-walk scenarios in partially known environment. This planner considers the lifted module as a 3DOF convex robot with discrete rotational and translational motions. First, we improved the structure of neural network of Deep Q-network by applying Resnet block for achieving real-time path planning for crawler crane. Thereafter, we also improved Artificial Potential Field Method (APFM) and apply it to search path for lifted module. And for shortening training time, we also apply the data generated by APFM to pre-train our neural network. Finally, we verified and compared the performance of APFM and DQN by simulation. The result of simulation can demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented planner.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121390087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
