However, because of the high time and space complexity of water–cloth interaction simulations, current simulation methods cannot meet the requirements of being both real time and realistic. In this paper, lattice gas automata (LGA)-based simulation method for water diffusion in cloth is proposed. In the proposed method, a three-dimensional mass–spring cloth model is constructed to simulate cloth with an arbitrary thickness and the geometric structure of the cloth is unified via the LGA lattice structure. The diffusion process of water in cloth is simplified as the movement process of water particles in the lattice structure, and the diffusion direction of the water is determined by the differences in the vertex saturation. The advantage of this method is that the physical parameters of the cloth are integrated into the diffusion equation via the three-dimensional model of the cloth and the saturation of the vertices. The D3Q27 diffusion model is used to simplify the complexity of the water particle diffusion algorithm, and the applicability of the algorithm to different types of cloths is improved. By experimenting with this method and comparing our results with those of other methods, it is found that the proposed method can effectively improve the simulation speed and realism and can realistically simulate the effects of wetting diffusion, water deformation, seepage dripping and cloth folding when the water and cloth interact.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"141 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124455908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This cultural treasure, “MODI-manuscript,” speaks about the history of its time. Although it has immense importance as a source of inspiration and information to the present generation, very few people know this “lipi”. The field of Handwritten Character Recognition offers a scope to develop a recognition system for MODI to make it easy to learn. However its structural characteristics demand a special approach. Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNN) has shown their remarkable potential in distinct feature extraction and classification of characters. So, in this paper we are focusing primarily on the performance evaluation of DCNN and their comparative study for MODI handwritten character recognition. Networks are evaluated based on trainable parameters, training time and memory consumption. Later, the tuned networks are also tested for transformed MODI dataset. The result shows the effectiveness of deep learning approach on Handwritten MODI character recognition.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127449158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to address this gap by reviewing 474 articles published in peer-reviewed journals from 1991 to 2019 using CiteSpace to verify recent developments and clue future areas of complex supply networks. This work shows that the contributions are geographically and institutionally distinct, with the USA and Islamic Azad University the key regions performing such research. Also, in terms of citation frequency, the International Journal of Production Economics has the highest contribution in publication. The author and institution citation networks are fragmented, while cross-national cooperation occurs in communities. Four stages of the evolution of research hotspots can be identified: initial phase (1991-2004), slow developing phase (2005-2010), rapid developing phase (2011-2014), and research specialization phase (2015-2019). A timeline visualization of keywords co-occurrence networks includes 6 clusters that were developed. Meanwhile, keyword bursts analysis showed that the research frontier mainly focused on complex adaptive supply networks. The findings of this study can provide useful references for the future exploration of complex supply networks.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128554392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They provide invaluable enrichment opportunities to make money and gain experience and skills. However, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, it is more challenging for high school students to identify the most appropriate summer jobs for them. We first identify related variables and collect data useful to our model. We consider 22 different summer jobs and consider variables including income, company size, risks, comfort, and skills to be gained. For the overall model, we adopt an Analytic Hierarchy Process to evaluate the weights or relative importance of each variable for each individual. Combining the weights we calculate from both models, we then obtain the overall weighting used for each individual. However, considering students usually want to have an array of open options to choose from, we utilize K-Means clustering rather than simply returning the one single “best” job. Then, the best cluster of job options is output to our user. In regards to the fictional characters, we develop 10 different characters that we believe are highly representative of the US high school student population. Application of our developed model onto these fictional characters indicates that our model is fairly effective in identifying the most appropriate summer jobs for students.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114365915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accurate forecasting of power load is of great significance for the safety and stability of power grid dispatching and economical operation. However, many of the current power data sets have serious problems of data island; furthermore, the centralized storage of large amounts of data may cause privacy leakage of the original data owners and faces regulations of security supervision. Therefore, federated learning is introduced to address these issues. Nevertheless, this approach is not sufficient to provide adequate data privacy protection. The present research proposes a federated learning model based on improved differential privacy algorithm. The model uses multi-scale Laplacian algorithm to analyze data distribution and generate noises in accordance with data patterns. Moreover, the parameters of the model are protected by attribute-based access control (ABAC). The simulation results show that the model proposed by the present research makes accurate forecasting and the improved differential privacy algorithm has less influence on the model's accuracy; the model also shows a good resistance to attacks, which ensures the security of data while having a high precision.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114769661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The combination of multiple standards makes the road network larger in scale and more complex, so its safety guarantee and emergency maintenance are facing greater challenges. On the one hand, the possibility of multiple concurrent failures/accidents and their overall impact on the road network increase; on the other hand, emergency maintenance resources cannot be invested indefinitely, and reasonable configuration is required. Therefore, how to optimize the emergency maintenance decision for concurrent failures of the road network under the condition of limited emergency maintenance resources has become an important issue that needs to be considered. In response to this problem, this paper proposes a genetic algorithm-based regional rail transit emergency maintenance decision-making optimization method, and establishes a maintenance decision-making optimization mathematical model with the lowest overall transport capacity risk of the road network as the optimization goal. The genetic algorithm is used to solve the optimization mathematical model, and the verification based on simulation example is carried out in conjunction with the rail transit network in the Chengdu-Chongqing area. The verification results show that compared with the commonly used shortest path rescue resource scheduling method, this method can reduce the transport capacity risk of the road network by about 10.37%.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115956911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to solve the problems of low convergence accuracy and complex parameter setting of bacterial foraging optimization algorithm, the bacterial foraging optimization algorithm with dynamically reduced setting of migration probability was proposed by analyzing the function of each parameter in bacterial foraging optimization algorithm and considering the better balance between global search and local search ability. In the initial stage of the algorithm, the migration probability is relatively large, and the global search ability is relatively strong. With the progress of the algorithm, the migration probability is reduced, and the local search ability is enhanced, so that the algorithm can obtain a more accurate solution. At the same time, in order to avoid the algorithm falling into the local solution, the parameter of migration probability is processed in sections in the process of dynamic parameter setting with the idea of simulated annealing algorithm. Classical single-peak and multi-peak reference functions are selected to test the effect of the improved algorithm, and the experimental results verify that the improved algorithm has higher convergence accuracy.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115406833","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, for a Ro-Pax terminal, the trips of passengers and vehicles are driven by the arrival and departure of Ro-Pax ships, which is different from the conventional trip generation model. Therefore, we propose a simulation-based trip generation estimation for a Ro-Pax terminal considering the uncertainty of the passengers and vehicles’ arrivals. A simulation of the operation in the Ro-Pax terminal is established to simulate the Ro-Pax terminal operations with passengers and vehicles. Finally, taking the trip generation of a Ro-Pax terminal as an example, the results indicate that the proposed simulationbased estimation model is feasible and effective to evaluate the trip generation and attraction caused by the Ro-Pax terminal project.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124213611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some recent studies showed both supportive and contradictory results of using some chemicals such as hydroxychloroquine in fighting against the cure or spread of this infective disease. This article focuses on the investigation of binding of Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) ligand to the main protease of COVID-19. In addition to the Vitamin D3 (VD3), the prospects of using Resveratrol and Curcumin as potential drugs are also studied by conducting molecular docking studies. The docking score for VD3 is observed to be on par with that of hydroxychloroquine. With VD3 obtained naturally from sunlight, it is a cheaper, essential and more promising candidate for the inhibition or spread of COVID-19. Molecular dynamic (MD) simulations of the binding of VD3 to the main protease are conducted using LAMMPS software with CHARMM force field. Several performances such as the root mean square deviation, root mean square fluctuation and number of hydrogen bonds are obtained and compared between protease and docked protease at different time steps. The MD simulations show that VD3 plays very vital role in inhibiting the main protease of coronavirus.","PeriodicalId":277800,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Computer Modeling and Simulation","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127896153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The contact pressure distribution and friction heat flux have been calculated based on the combined wear law of the conical joint, and a three-dimensional transient thermal analysis finite element (FE) model with the detailed structure for the multi-conical friction plate is established. The influence of different operating conditions on the highest transient temperature of friction plate is analyzed, and the temperature of the specified location and the radial distribution are given.
