Vila","doi":"10.1109/CDE52135.2021.9455745","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CDE52135.2021.9455745","url":null,"abstract":"In this contribution, we will present the status of the technological developments at IMB-CNM to fabricate Inverse Low Gain Avalanche Detectors (iLGAD) for pixelated detectors. This iLGAD sensor concept is one of the most promising technologies for enabling the future 4D tracking paradigm that requires both precise position and timing resolution. In the iLGAD concept, based on the LGAD technology, the readout is done at the ohmic contacts, allowing for a continuous unsegmented multiplication junction. This architecture provides a uniform gain over all the active sensor area. This concept was successfully demonstrated in a first generation of 300 μm thick iLGAD sensors. In the second generation, we have fabricated thick iLGAD sensor optimizing the periphery for X-Ray irradiations. Among these bioelectrical signals, many of them take place in the interface that is the plasmatic cell membrane. The cell membrane presents an intrinsic voltage difference in between the interior of the cell and the external environment, known as transmembrane potential. Ion channels in the membrane allow a balance of the intracellular and extracellular ionic concentration. Several ionic channels can be controlled through electrical stimuli. Campabadal","doi":"10.1109/CDE52135.2021.9455719","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CDE52135.2021.9455719","url":null,"abstract":"In this work, the effect of 60Co gamma radiation on the electrical properties of TiN/Ti/HfO2/W RRAM devices is investigated through systematic and extensive measurements of biased and unbiased devices during irradiation. For this purpose, first an experiment has been carried out in fresh devices in order to verify that gamma radiation did not permanently damage the HfO2 after several cumulative radiation doses. Then, the resistive switching behavior of the RRAMs has been assessed by comparing the performance of the devices prior and after irradiation up to a total dose of 22 Mrad(Si). Furthermore, data retention experiments have been carried out by in-situ measuring the device resistance under radiation exposure, for both the low and the high resistance states up to a dose of 7.9 Mrad(Si). The results clearly show that the electrical response of HfO2-based RRAM devices prior and after the formation of an oxygen deficient conductive filament is not significantly affected by ionizing radiation and its corresponding damage. This technology has doubled the efficiencies of conventional non-concentrating PV systems. However, the cost of CPV still needs to be lowered to be competitive. In these systems, approximately 60 % of the incident energy is dissipated as heat. One way to further enhance CPV systems is taking advantage of the dissipated heat energy as a source for an extra generation of electricity using a thermoelectric generator (TEG). The feasibility of hybrid CPV-TEG modules for enhancing the efficiency and lowering the cost has been discussed in recent work, with special emphasis on actively cooled designs. On the other hand, the micro-scaling of the technology could allow simple and reliable passive cooling mechanisms to be used. In this work, a numerical analysis of three-dimensional micro hybrid CPV-TEG receiver at ultra-high concentration ratios is presented. The procedure solves both the thermal and electrical effects for estimation of the power generated and the efficiency of the system. The results of performance are compared with a CPV-only receiver composed with equal solar cell properties working at similar conditions. This technique shows promise for the low-damage low-temperature deposition of PV materials. We studied the deposition of ITO, MoOx and TiOx using pure Ar and mixed Ar/O2 atmospheres as well as ceramic or metallic targets. We show that HPS deposition of these materials is feasible. The growth rate is greatly reduced when oxygen is added to the argon sputtering atmosphere. The best sputtering RF power was 20–45 W for the pressure range studied.
