Recently there is a paradigm shift in how software is designed. One of the biggest challenges of software engineering is predicting defects in software modules, to save quality testing time. As software development challenges and constraints rise, unexpected effects such as failure and errors decrease the consistency of software and user loyalty, rendering error-free software more complex and frustrating. In this paper, we analyze the use of Multi-Layer Perceptron Neural Network [5] (MLP-NN) for the efficient prediction of defects. We have also executed the MLP-NN with a subset of features selected using popular feature selection methods. The model was evaluated on 5 datasets from the AEEEM dataset. The results were compared with other common classifiers like Logistic Regression, MLP-NN, and Random Tree. The findings indicate that feature selection has a major role in increasing the accuracy of prediction. Our model had higher accuracy in few cases while at par with others in some.","PeriodicalId":264094,"journal":{"name":"2021 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Engineering and Management (ICIEM)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126467035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Automated analysis of educational data using state of the art Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms is an active area of research. The research addresses the problem of student performance prediction by using three ML algorithms (i.e., Support Vector Classifier (SVC), k-Nearest Neighbour (k-NN), Artificial Neural Network (ANN)) on Open University (OU) dataset. Educational data is analyzed for three main indicators including demographic, engagement and performance. From the experimental analysis, the k-NN approach emerged as best for OU experiments when compared among applied and with existing literature. Improvement of results is attributed to change in dealing with missing values and data standardization approaches.","PeriodicalId":264094,"journal":{"name":"2021 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Engineering and Management (ICIEM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130863160","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Perhaps the main component fundamental in information assortment is the sensor. During ongoing years with progress in semiconductor innovation, sensors have examined a full reach of boundaries nearer to acknowledgment. Telecommuting has positive effects not only on expenses but also on productivity, work flexibility and quality of work. The adoption rate of telecommuting has gone exponentially high especially due to government policies such as social distancing and country-wide lockdown measures. Human resource managers over the globe have reported higher empathy, increased co-ordination, retention and engagement during the lockdown. Provided that, very minimal percentage of workforce operated from their home prior to the coronavirus, it is difficult for employees to adopt the proposed model without any prior training and guidance. This research paper aims to shed light on how the pandemic has impacted the way we work, concerns related to human resource management with main focus on training and development function of HR department. The paper also proposes a framework for training employees to adapt to telecommuting as well as back to office conduct through technological interventions such as Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence etc. The overall theoretical framework provides a basic training and development process to reskill and upskill the employees to combat the perennial skill shortages post pandemic.","PeriodicalId":264094,"journal":{"name":"2021 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Engineering and Management (ICIEM)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131150704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under these conditions, proactive and reactive routing protocols work ineffectively. By keeping an updated map of a zone with each node centred, the Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP) merges merits of proactive and reactive methods. Routes within the zone immediately accessible. For packet destination exterior to zone radius, ZRP uses route locating process that takes merits of zones' routing direction. Zone Routing Protocol is described in this document. First, we'll go over the issue of routing in ad-hoc. Topology of ZRP, made up of sub-protocols, is described. We also go through query control mechanisms that are used to reduce amount of traffic generated during route discovery process. Actual execution of the protocol components is not specified by ZRP. As a result, we present the implementation guidance. Finally, we draw some conclusions for protocol's efficacy.","PeriodicalId":264094,"journal":{"name":"2021 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Engineering and Management (ICIEM)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125547990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People need the water for their daily uses. Even though your earth is covered mostly of water but it is not useful for humans to use. There is less amount of water that is useful. To save the water without wasting it. To reduce the water from wasting this is designed an automated switch that can automatically on and off the device when the tank is full of water, These reduce the overflow of water, it uses IOT (sensors)to make these processes automated. When the water level touches the sensor it turns off the water supplying pump. Since the electricity demand is very high, automatic water controllers save energy. To prevent over the labor of pumping machine and prevent it from getting worse. This water pump can be used for many purposes in the companies like it can be used as Liquid level detector and fuel detect the device, It also helps us to indicate the sudden increase of water during floods. When interactive technology is available, mosquitoes often selectively choose to engage with it. This enhances the mosquito’s sense of control over their immediate surroundings.
