This paper reports on experiences from introducing some of the many new post-WIMP I/O possibilities emerging from e.g. mobile and sensor (Microsoft Kinect) technologies. To help students remember the technologies in mind, the acronym SMILE (Speech - Movement - Image - Language - Environment) is introduced. Through the two years of small scale surveys to detect the efficiency of two newly developed types of computer-based tests, we found that the levels of vocabulary knowledge, along with the learners' awareness of their own strategies, had some influence on their reading comprehension. In addition, the results suggested write-in-answer questions had more power to identify learners' weaknesses than multiple-choice questions did. Based on these conclusions, we incorporated the two types of computer-based tests into our web site in order to confirm the efficacy of the previous results with the view of quantitative descriptive analysis. That's originated from categorization of the achievement diversity of students' (individual differences), equivalently students' Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome (SOLO). This students' academic diversity affected in classrooms by three interactive learning/teaching approaches (orientations) namely: surface, deep, and strategic. Assessment of these approaches has been performed via realistic simulation adopting Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) modeling considering Hebbian rule for coincidence detection learning. That modeling results in interesting mathematical analogy of two effective learning performance factors with students' achievement individual differences. Firstly, the effect of two brain functional phenomena; namely long term Potentiation (LTP) and depression (LTD). That's in accordance with opening time for crossing N-methyl-D-aspartate NMDA observed at hippocampus brain area. Secondly, the effect of neurons' number associated with diverse learning/teaching environments comprise the dichotomy (extroversion/introversion). This dichotomy has been investigated as the external and internal environmental learning conditions. The obtained simulation results concerned with student's diversity attitudes (extroversion/introversion). They shown to be in well agreement with recently published results after performing a case study at an engineering institution in Egypt. By the proper utilization of hypervisors agility, flexibility and efficiency may be gained in engineering hands-on education. Layered accreditation and certification impose additional challenges on engineering and cyber security programs. Consequently, there is an extra degree of oversight, assessment and thoroughness required in curricula in order to meet all standards. At National University only through the use of virtualization is it possible to add hands-on experience in a one-month delivery of a full semester of instruction per course. The use of virtualization through private and public cloud delivery as well as on a student's personal computer makes this possible. The employment of multi-factor authentication and a VPN provides the necessary security for students who are dispersed all over the world. The collaborative synergy of Computer Science, Information Technology and Cyber Security disciplines has made the creation of a dynamically morphing virtual lab possible. This requires an aptitude for “holistic learning”. The many dimensions of `holistic learning' are imparting `knowledge and understanding', `technical application', `work integration', `human dimensions' such as - team interactions, motivation - `developing passion' for the subject and `learning to learn'. These skills are not sequential and independent, but interrelated, feeding back into each other. Competence to manage all these together to enable effective and efficient delivery of outcomes is the need of the IT Industry. The IT associate has to demonstrate these traits, early in his work as team interactions and personal traits like motivation, integrity and the like play a major role even in the early phases of his work cycle. This paper presents an approach to building a framework for `holistic learning' and identifying pedagogies that will actually build technical competencies and non-technical traits, thereby facilitating integrated competence building. Studies and results of such pilots are discussed. The paper also includes a case study on small groups, which indicated that these non technical and personal traits are developed well when doing related work. This is an intuitive and conceptual representation of the data model. It is normally represented as an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), which is a graphical representation of the ER model. From this ERD, the Entity Relationship Schema (ERS) for the database shows the tables, their associated attributes, primary keys, and the relationships between the tables. A relational database model differs from hierarchical and network models by requiring explicit linkage of the related tables which is done by using foreign keys. It is the most widely used model because of its simplicity in representing and querying data. This research examines the ERS and suggests an augmented schema termed, in this research, as the Object Relationship Schema (ORS), with addition of new constructs to the ERS. Today, the resources required for the development of a database using a relational database management system are often measured by subjective criteria. The ORS is an objective and quantitative method to measure the database development effort, thus enabling one to apply appropriate resources towards developing, testing and maintaining the database.
