This paper has proposed a method to identify the equipment anomalies with weak light situation inside the cable tunnel, based on the convolution neural network. On the basis of the gray image, this method adds the Sobel operator to enhance edge-preprocessing effect and start training through Convolution Neural Network (CNN). The convergence criteria is the Loss Function related with the Weight Parameter W and Bias Parameter b. The convergence method is the one named Backpropagation, which updates the parameters each time to reduce the loss. The fast operating speed of full connection layer can help getting the direct classification result of equipment status in the image. Based on the experimental analysis of the internal images of the Zhuhai tunnel, it can be seen that this method is suitable for the dark and chaotic environment of the tunnel. Additionally, it has a high recognition rate for the image segmentation of the lighting equipment and a high accuracy for the classification of the abnormal situation of the image.","PeriodicalId":260947,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115612641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the uncertainty of wind power increases the system's economic cost in reserve capacity optimal configuration and also makes it more difficult to coordinate the security risk. For this problem, a forward-looking risk decision-making model for economic dispatch is established with an aim to reduce the risk involved in the implementation of the dispatch plan for future time periods. This model is, by means of probability analysis of wind power output random scenarios, to optimize reasonably the output plans of each unit and the reserve capacity of the system and enhances the security-economy coordinating of dispatch decisions. The simulating result in IEEE 30-bus system verifies the rationality and effectiveness of this model.","PeriodicalId":260947,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124404236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, problems such as power flowing in both directions have brought challenges to protection and control. A wide area protection and control scheme based on information sharing is proposed, which includes wide area protection control devices and integrated distribution terminals. The scheme uses extensible differential protection principle and load resection method based on load sensitivity to realize adaptive protection and self-healing control for closed-loop distribution network. Finally, the wide area protection and control scheme is compared with the traditional scheme. It shows that the wide area protection and control scheme is feasible, controllable and detectible. In addition, the wide area protection and control scheme has economic advantages such as less space and operation maintenance workload.","PeriodicalId":260947,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123167713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two sending isolated island systems are consist of millions of kilowatts renewable energy and single converter station. Their reactive power and voltage control faces challenge. Aiming at this, this paper proposes a comprehensive voltage control strategy for renewable energy isolated island system aggregated by VSC-HVDC. The control strategy includes steady state voltage control and emergency voltage modulation. For steady state voltage control, the voltage control is achieved through a multi-objective optimization strategy considering the network loss and the reactive power margin of the sending terminal VSC station. An improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the optimization problem. For emergency voltage modulation, reactive power and voltage droop modulation is applied to the sending terminal converter. Case study shows that the strategy takes into account the safety and economic operation of island system and maintains the reactive power of sending terminal VSC converter within the safe operation range as well.","PeriodicalId":260947,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"76 1‐2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120854709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, the moving-window technique is used to cluster disturbance period with the consideration of the temporal propagation of disturbance energy. Secondly, the PQ disturbance measurements, equipment switching action data and alarm events are integrated by utilizing entity matching method. Then, the distributed mining of association rules is designed to obtain strong association rules within integrated data for describing the relationship between PQ features and event causes. The analysis results have good generalization performance. Finally, the real grid data were taken as an example to verify the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method. The test results show that the proposed method can analyze the relationship between the typical PQ disturbance features and event causes effectively.
