Abstract
In the booming market of high voltage DC cables, the progress of developing accessories become a main bottleneck. In this paper, we firstly introduce our DC cable accessories insulated with silicone rubber, a material currently applied much more frequently in AC than in DC. Then, our experience on testing the 320 kV system, as well as our preliminary experience on diagnosing the 500 kV system in factory will be introduced and discussed. Based on the discussion, we recommend to perform partial discharge tests before load cycle tests to control the quality of installation.
