This paper therefore examines various methods of preservation and transfer of riddles in traditional society. This study adopted the survey-descriptive approach as the data and information were collected from natural environment and analysed. It is underpinned by Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory that focuses on the unconscious mind of people as the storehouse of latent materials which can be activated and brought to the conscious awareness. The information were collected with sound recordings which were afterward deciphered and deciphered from the Urhobo dialect into the English adaptation. In-depth interviews were also conducted to obtained first-hand information from respondents. The respondents were purposively selected and interviewed. The data collected in the field were qualitatively analyzed using descriptive and analytical methods. Findings reveal that riddles perform utilitarian functions like entertainment, education, knowledge transfer, coping and distractive strategies and so on. These linguistic resources should be preserved and documented due to their cultural values. Though there are problems hindering the growth of the riddles in contemporary societies, orators have devised the use of popular music as new way of preservation and transferring of oral traditions like the riddles from going into extinction.","PeriodicalId":259210,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Social Science Journal","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133238338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many arguments for and against accepting the utilized sarcasm among the audience. The point of the study is to look into the application of sarcasm in the context of the research object, Pesbukers, one of Indonesia's most popular television shows, without any translation process for each dialogue. By employing a qualitative descriptive method, the researcher examined four varieties of sarcasm discovered based on Elisabeth Camp's theory. The results of the study indicate that there are 31 data containing sarcasm. Proportional Sarcasm had the most data (12), followed by Lexical Sarcasm (10), Illocutionary Sarcasm (5), and Like-Prefixed Sarcasm (4). Proportional sarcasm that is straight to the point in utterances pervades all other types of sarcasm. However, the least used sarcasm in this study, like-prefixed sarcasm, is pragmatic and has a meaning contrary to the real motive. The Pesbukers show uses all of the sarcasm subgenres mentioned.","PeriodicalId":259210,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Social Science Journal","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121063890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PTM is a public health problem that causes morbidity, disability and death. PTM often goes undetected because it is asymptomatic and has no complaints, when it is found it is already at an advanced stage making it difficult to cure and resulting in disability or death. PTM is the main cause of death globally, based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) showing that in 2016, out of 57 million deaths that occurred in the world, 41 million deaths (70%) were caused by PTM. PTM is the biggest cause of death, namely cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease and diabetes. Based on data from PUSKESMAS or Public Health Center Rantauprapat City, Labuhanbatu Regency, the number of Posbindu PTM visits in 2018 was 606 visits, while in 2019 there was a significant increase of 1246 visits. The aim of the study was to determine the factors that influence the utilization of the Non-Communicable Diseases Integrated Development Post (POSBINDU PTM) at the PUSKESMAS or Public Health Center Rantauprapat, Labuhanbatu Regency. This research is a quantitative study with a Cross Sectional Study design. Data analysis used the chi-square test with a sample of 127 respondents. The results showed that the related variables were Knowledge (p=0.001), Attitude (p=0.001), Facilities Support (p=0.045) and Family Support (p=0.028) with the Utilization of Posbindu PTM.","PeriodicalId":259210,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Social Science Journal","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128504929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, gender bias also places women in a weak position, thus making men more dominant in the family system and society, this is very detrimental to women, so women experience violence more often. Domestic violence is often called a hidden crime, because it is committed within the scope of the household which cannot be known by other people openly, and for victims it is also a separate dilemma considering that the perpetrators of violence are also family members (husband against wife or vice versa) who in fact are still in a marriage bond. the variables causing the wrongdoing of household savagery incorporate envy, financial variables, and a need of information almost existing enactment.
