In order to guarantee an optimum use of this technology, we need to test different routing protocols performances. This paper evaluates ad hoc on demand distance vector protocol (AODV) and dynamic source routing protocol (DSR)'s performances for IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee. The evaluation is based on packet loss, packet delivery ratio, network throughput, average delay and energy consumption. We investigated various simulation scenarios, varying network and traffic densities. We used the network simulator Ns2. From the detailed simulation results and analysis, we will excavate the routing protocol that performs better.","PeriodicalId":259067,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Communications, Computing and Control Applications (CCCA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114447734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One demonstrates the uniqueness of optimal feedback nonlinear control obtained, by utilizing that the U Hilbert space control domain is rotund. The solution for two point boundary value problem implies the determination of the solution of the system in variations associated to the linearized system. The construction of the solution use of an iterative procedure, yielding the initial value results of the adjoint variable. The proposed control allows the elimination of the studied actuator position oscillations. The motor speed and position are determined from the motor position back EMF voltages which are estimated by a nonlinear Lipschitz observer by detecting the statoric voltages and currents. The proposed solution avoids the use of a position sensor which is expensive and cumbersome. A new methodology has been proposed combining both supervised and unsupervised learning methods. Since supervised learning requires necessarily a broad labelled base that may not always available in a sufficient cardinality, we aim at first an unsupervised grouping of a critical faults set (classes) though a Self-Adaptive Clustering Algorithm (SACA). Within this framework, the presented algorithm is based on the evaluation of a metric distance between cluster centroids and samples. An integrated process for optimization allows the tuning of confidence threshold for decision. Next, an additional supervised classification step using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) provides practical information for decision-making. The network is trained according to the classification multi-levels dedicated for multi-class problems. The developed approach is assessed on a hydraulic system consisting of three connected tanks.","PeriodicalId":259067,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Communications, Computing and Control Applications (CCCA)","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117138728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system is based on the use of dry electrodes which had been set on three points of the body skin, the sensed signal fed an analog signal pre-processor to enhance its level and improve its noise immunity. The analog processor includes a typical filtering in two bands: the first band B1 is from 0.05 to 40Hz and the second B2 is from 0.05 to 150Hz. Since the analog signal approaches both the desired level and signal to noise ratio, a digital circuit based on microcontroller (AN2131QC) transforms the signal across a normalized USB bus transfer. In any cases, the embedded system could communicate in real time directly to a computer with USB port. Several data acquisition and recording file have been accomplished. Then, some processing tools have been implemented under MATLAB software as the representation of the ECG signals and its spectrum analysis for furthers offline processing.","PeriodicalId":259067,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Communications, Computing and Control Applications (CCCA)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125147583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This biped robot is an impulsive mechanical system of two-degrees-of-freedom known to possess passive periodic bipedal walking patterns found to be reminiscent of human walking. It is well known that such compass-gait biped can walk steadily down an inclined slope without any control. The behavior of its gait depends closely on the ground slope as well as on its inertial parameters. We showed recently that such compass-gait robot can possess two distinct periodic stable gaits for the same ground slope: a period-1 gait and another period-3 gait which has not been fully studied yet. This paper deals with the period-3 passive stable gait. Some properties of this typical gait are discussed in this paper revealing its typical symmetry, efficiency and its importance for the control subject. We reveal that the compass-gait biped robot presents an elegant and attractive manner to walk with the period-three passive gait which can be employed in some desirable objectives for the passive bipedal walking. We show in addition that the period-3 gait is very sensitive to small perturbations and becomes unstable where the passive walk of the compass biped is found to converge to the period-1 gait. This conducts to the fact that the basin of attraction of such period-three gait is very restricted. Then, in order to stabilize the passive period-three gait, we propose in this paper an energy tracking control law. Furthermore, we apply this same control law to track the period-three passive gait when the biped robot walks down a different sloped surface.","PeriodicalId":259067,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Communications, Computing and Control Applications (CCCA)","volume":"389 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124799444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Network-on-chip constitutes a viable solution space to emerging SoC design challenges. In this paper, we present a configurable Network Interface(NI) architecture design approach with smaller area and lower power. The small area is achieved by memory resources sharing in the three modes used by the OCP IP or by many IPs connected to the NI. The low power is obtained by the implementation of a mechanism based on two level of gated clock for power saving. Experimental results show that adaptability, FIFO sharing, and gated clock aspects integrated in the proposed NI allow a significant reduction in terms of area and power.","PeriodicalId":259067,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Communications, Computing and Control Applications (CCCA)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122407702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
