The first conference was held in 2009. In 2021, the seventh conference was held in a hybrid format, which allowed scientists from remote places and other countries to be invited. The role of art in shaping the cultural landscape, cartographic, artistic, and literary images of the world, and concepts of space in art were discussed. Art creates the meanings of geographical objects of different levels, «sculpting» the semantic form of urban space. «Genius and Place» is a theme that reveals how artists, writers, and poets re-create the meanings of the places they are associated with. Literary geography and local texts are one of the dimensions of this problem. Despite its long history, starting with myth and epic, as well as different views on its nature, there is a certain basis in the phenomenon of heroism that feeds the culture of different times and peoples and resonates in the human soul as a stable archetype. The article raises the problem of interpreting the phenomenon of heroism, its refractions in cultural and philosophical concepts as well as the problem of their relevance to the inner deep meaning of the phenomenon itself. Just as this is characteristic of architectural and construction activity, in law the formation of a legal system is based on a certain project, on the idea, on the image and as such a project is the basic law – the constitution. The harmony and strength of the constitutional draft depends on the foundation, stability and effectiveness of the country's legal system. At the same time, the unity and diversity of the cultural space determines the presence of common features and, at the same time, the diversity of the image of the constitution in architectural and ar-chitectural-monumental art. Significant changes that took place in society and culture during this historical period were reflected in both elite and mass manifestations of social and cultural reality. Germany and Austria, while embedded in a pan-European context, developed a number of unique national characteristics. It was revealed that the functioning of ideas about the meaning of nudity in culture is associated with a number of binary oppositions. The first is the opposition between sexuality and asceticism. The second presupposes the opposition and unity of traditionalism and nihilism. The third is associated with humiliation or an increase in the importance of the individual. In each specific case of exposure, we are dealing with a kind of message due to the state of the culture of a particular society at a very definite stage of its development. D. Krzhizhanovsky as a reflection of the borderline consciousness. The purpose of the article is to reveal the specifics of the borderline conscious-ness in general and its features in the culture of the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries using the example of the analysis of the novella «God Is Dead», as well as of other texts similar in content and the time of writing. The main methods are ontological, historical-cultural, analytical, and com-parative. The introductory part defines the main characteristics of the bor-derline consciousness and also clarifies the etymology and the immanence of the process in development of the human society. Further, the author of the article identifies the substantive aspects in the concept of «apophati-cism», draws on the names of philosophers that are relevant to the thoughts of S. D. Krzhizhanovsky, (F. Nietzsche, A. Schweitzer, M. Heidegger), emphasizes that negation has nothing to do with God, from the point of view of Dionysius the Areopagite. The common and different aspects of philosophical and artistic views on apophaticism are also analyzed (F. Nietzsche, K. K. Sluchevsky). Further, the researcher carries out a de-tailed analysis of the novella «God Is Dead»by S. D. Krzhizhanovsky: the compositional structure is examined, an overview of the characters and their peculiarities is given, biblical and artistic allusions, their correlation with the specificity of the Soviet regime are revealed. The author of the article specially emphasizes that S. D. Krzhizhanovsky resorts to apophaticism as a characteristic of this time. The polemic part designates different approaches in the modern interpretation of apophaticism in the novella by S. D. Krzhizhanovsky, which do not coincide with the understanding of the author of this article.
