Sorokin’s new novel «Doctor Garin» (2021) with the reference to the latest critical reviews. It is stressed that «Doctor Garin» is the first writer’s experience in the adventure fiction and that because of this fact his novel for the first time has both the happy ending and a protagonist with positive character traits. Also the genres of romance, fairy tale, menippea and even stealth are mentioned as having some features in common with Sorokin’s novel. A special attention is paid to the associative connection with Russian literature.","PeriodicalId":256945,"journal":{"name":"Herald of Culturology","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133326699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Along with the «terrible» principle, bringing pain, suffering and death, the opposite one may be clearly traced in all sorts of poetic representations of the idea of war as well - almost a joyful anticipation of destruction of all false, useless, obsolete, not allowing «beautiful new» to come. The described dualitу manifests itself most clearly in the lyrics of incipient expressionism. Some model poems of G. Heym, A. Lichtenstein and E. Stadler are here analyzed from the specified point of view.","PeriodicalId":256945,"journal":{"name":"Herald of Culturology","volume":"76 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134391737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the one hand, it traces the development of an anti-psychiatric “revolutionary subject” through the example of the Heidelberg Patient Socialist Collective led by Dr. Wolfgang Huber. On the other hand, in contrast to the marginality of Huber's circle, we analyze the somewhat different path taken by the “revolutionary schizophrenic subject” in literature, using Heinar Kipphardt's novel Marz as an example. With a number of similarities and differences, both phenomena transform cultural space in different ways.","PeriodicalId":256945,"journal":{"name":"Herald of Culturology","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114795179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
