As with any social studies curriculum component, it is necessary to delineate the curriculum parameters of economics so as to justify and guide its teaching in the schools. This article aims to explore various approaches to developing and implementing economics curricula, weighs their benefits and drawbacks, and ends with a suggestion for blending the alternatives so as to optimize the benefits. Prior to the development of a curriculum rationale, however, the educator must ask a question seldom raised with the other social sciences: What kind of economics should be taught? Positive Versus Normative Economics The positive versus normative distinction in economics is particularly important in economic education.

And accordingly arrive at a consensus to follow as much uniformity as possible and ensure higher standards and reduce the gaps in educational standards. This viewpoint needs to be reflected at the global, national and provincial level. Types and variations are discussed with respect to several parameters Viz; salaries and allowances of teachers, academic calendar patterns, course contents and description, examination patterns, work load norms, duration of various programs, students assessment in both course study and in research component. Need for unbiased treatment of course topics, adequate time for students in various exams, supplementary teaching methods, easy access to full-fledged library-bibliotheque facilities, teacher-student-administrative staff ratio and of increasing the duration of the degree programs to make the students more eligible of higher studies and career placements and responsible citizens has been emphasized. Further, the need to critically analyze the intake of students in various programs and disciplines, teaching methodology, requirement of manpower, need for collaborations with industries & international institutes –both public and private- is explained and emphasised to run the educational programs. UN and its organizations should seriously contribute to achieve uniformity & high standards and ensure due international agreements and financial aid.

Many universities are facing challenges due to the increasing number of young people attending higher education. Learning is enhanced when it is more like a team effort than a solo race. This study explores how peer learning influences the academic performance of students and it also resolves the negative attitude of teachers and students on the active teaching learning process. It increases student’s social interaction as well as subject matter knowledge. The study was conducted in Assosa university Chemistry department second year students on chemical thermodynamics course. The data was analyzed by using percentage and mean using tables. The tolls of data collection were mainly questionnaires, interview and observations. As peer learning is implemented frequently, the score of the student was increased. Students will learn from one another because in their discussion of the content, cognitive conflicts will arise, inadequate reasoning will be exposed, and higher-quality understanding will emerge. Finally, this finding recommends that in most chemistry courses, a team work is important to increase the academic performance of students and it could be applicable.

In Kuwait, conversing in English at a level at which the users can understand and be understood has become crucially important, regardless of the field in which the population studies or works. Within such intriguing context of phonological awareness in second language acquisition, the current study investigated the association of English phonemes production and perception by speakers of Kuwaiti Arabic and the main triggers of incorrect production. The present study looked specifically into the phonological errors made by Kuwaiti speakers of English when L1 has a parallel phoneme of only one of the two contrasting L2 phonemes in its L1 phoneme and/or orthography systems. The study was conducted on 244 Kuwaiti male and female participants between the ages of 18 and 30. The sample answered a 44 words questionnaire consisting of three English phonemes, namely, /p/, /v/ and /t∫/ and their counterparts /b/, /f/ and /∫/. The participants were asked to choose the correct sound they hear in word-initial and word-final positions. Findings of the study suggest that many Kuwaiti learners of English found it difficult to identify the English phonemes as a result of a deeper level of complications triggered by the occurrence of contrasting phonemes in both L1 and L2, hypercorrection, and interference of orthography. It is, hence, believed that perception is not the sole reason that causes Arabic learners of English to produce English sounds incorrectly.

Cooperative learning is an approach to team work that reduces the occurrence of those unpleasant situations and exploits the learning and satisfaction that result from working on a high-performance team. The proven benefits of cooperative learning notwithstanding, instructors who attempt it frequently encounter resistance and sometimes open hostility from the students and create conducive environments for students to release ideas freely and interact with each other. Although the change of government policies in Ethiopia improves female participation in education, participation of female students are not as much satisfactory, especially in cooperative learning system and dependent rate of female students on male active learners are clearly known. Therefore, the major purpose of this action research is to improve female students’ participation in cooperative learning system in order to create conducive learning environment and to enhance the academic performance of female students through cooperative learning in case of Bule Hora University, Department of Biology. The random sampling techniques was used to select respondent from first year to third year female students, out of all groups of one to five in all class of Biology Department College of Natural and Computational science in Bule Hora University. The total of thirty one female students from one to five group participant was selected from all years of each groups, and one female students were randomly selected to fill the questions. Based on the assessment of this action research, 100% of the females were participated in group working activities. The activities of the females participation in group work is different, which is valued as 41.9%, 38.7%, 12.9% and 6.5% always, sometimes, rarely and usually respectively respond as their work in group assignment by asking question to be answered by group members.

Therefore, efforts should be made to improve the employment environment by promoting students’ entrepreneurship interest. Higher vocational colleges as the cradle of talent cultivation, should not only serve as a source of high-lever technology talents to support the country’s high-quality development, but also provide students with knowledge, skills and motivation to encourage students to create entrepreneur in a variety way. This experimental study explored factors that influence higher vocational college students' entrepreneurial situation perceptions. Using data collected from 313 higher vocational college students and 100 of their parents, 100 teachers and 20 governors. We examined the impact of students’ attitude, self-quality and individual interest to start a business. Besides, government policy and family support were also considered to evaluate the influence of their decision by external support. The results suggest that not only students’ attitude and self-quality but also individual interest have impacts on individuals’ willingness to start a business. The influence of family support was greater than government policy. The government policy has no significant influence on students’ willing to start a business.

The aim of the research is to study the usage of primary school pupils’ self-expression skills acquired within music education in various social contexts. \u0000Methods. Theoretical research method – the analysis of literature, empirical data acquisition method – questionnaire. Statistical data processing has been carried out in IBM SPSS 23 programme, using the following data processing methods: frequency analysis; Mann-Whitney U test for the comparison of two independent groups; Kruskal-Wallis test for the comparison of three or more independent groups; Kendall rank correlation coefficient for the assessment of associations between two variables. \u0000Results. In the development of self-expression skills, an important aspect is the social performance criterion that is based on pupils’ need for self-expression in a social environment of practising music. Age and gender-based correlations in the assessment of a self-expression skill criterion "Social performance" indicate that with age pupils become more independent and engaged in music-related social activities. Girls are socially more active and emotional and engage in artistic activities more often. The research confirms the role of teachers in the development of pupils’ self-expression skills, promoting integration of formal and informal learning process and transformation in formal and informal learning environment. \u0000Conclusions. The dynamics and interactions of self-expression skills’ development factors (social, emotional and intellectual) defines pupils’ individual self-expression skills and development tendencies. Self-expression is important for pupils in social aspect, as it is related to socialisation in microenvironment (family) and macroenvironment (friends) and affects cooperation and communication.
