The proposed architecture uses a resource-sharing approach utilizing only one adder/subtractor, one bi-directional barrel shifter, and one XOR with 32-bit bus width. Therefore, two data paths are switched through four multiplexers in the encryption/decryption procedure. A prototype chip is fabricated by a standard 0.18 μm CMOS technology. The size is 704∗697 μm2, where a total of 1.64k gates are used. The topic is of interest to consumer electronics engineers because it represents technology that consumers will be connecting their CE equipment to in coming years. The best-known example of commercial deployment of this technology to date is likely the Verizon FIOS system, but there are others as well. An important question is if existing wireless technologies can meet the communication requirements from this emerging field of applications? Part of the answer to this question is that the communication requirements depend on what is actually communicated and how this information is used by and presented to the driver. The data traffic from realizations based on “cooperative awareness” or on “hazard warnings” are very different. The proposed IF system is realized by an all-analog architecture, which is composed of a couple of LAs (Limiting Amplifiers) and RSSIs (Received Signal Strength Indicators), a couple of BPFs (Band-Pass Filters), a FD (Frequency Detector), a LPF (Low-Pass Filter) and a slicer. The chip is implemented with HJTC 0.18-μm CMOS technology and measured under a data rate of 100 kb/s, a carrier frequency of 200 kHz and a modulation index of 1.0. The RSSI has a dynamic range of 51 dB with a logarithmic linearity error of less than ±1 dB. For 0.1% BER (Bit Error Ratio), the minimum input SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) of the proposed IF circuit is 5 dB, and the input dynamic range of the whole IF circuit is 55.4 dB. When the input SNR is set at 6 dB, the proposed circuit can tolerate a frequency offset from −3% to +9.5%. The health care devices are emerging sector of portal devices. The increasing connections between devices on or in the body of the users have drawn much attention. Therefore, we proposes to use the Intra-Body Communication (IBC) to act as the network backbone for the health care devices. In this article, we will report a model for IBC, which can calculate the distribution of the transmitting signal within a human limb. The result of the model will compare with an in vivo measurement in order to check the accuracy of the model.
