One non-pharmacological way is common cold massage. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of common cold massage on the healing time of cold cough in baby and toddlers at Rahma Medika clinic. This study was an experimental quasy design, where the researcher only intervened in one group and the other group would act as a control without randomization. This research was conducted for 1 month, April – May 2023 at the Rahma Medika clinic. The samples used in this study were 32  in the intervention group and 32 in the control group. Univariate analysis results mean cure time of the intervention group was 2.6 days and the control group was 3.25 days. The analysis  of the t-test stated that there was an effect of giving common cold massage on the acceleration of the healing time of cold cough in baby and toddlers and statistically the difference was considered significant, because the p-value  of 0.003 < 0.05. The combination of Common Cold Massage can speed up the healing time of cold cough symptoms.","PeriodicalId":254099,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Nursing and Health Sciences","volume":"9 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116787558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Laboratory studies and clinical trials, pure honey has bactericidal activity that causes diarrhea. Giving honey is useful in reducing the frequency of diarrhea in children. Honey has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties that can treat diarrhea. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of honey to reduce the frequency of diarrhea in children. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental pretest and posttest nonequivalent without a control group. The research sample was 20 children who experienced diarrhea. Honey is given 3 times a day as much as 5 ml. Results: The results showed that the frequency of diarrhea decreased after being given honey, which means that there was an effect of giving honey on a decrease in the frequency of diarrhea in children (p<0.001). Conclusions: Honey can be used as an alternative therapy to reduce the frequency of diarrhea in children.","PeriodicalId":254099,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Nursing and Health Sciences","volume":"34 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132656931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some complementary health approaches are showing promise to lowering blood pressure, one of which is progressive muscle relaxation (PMR). This study aimed to determine the effectiveness od progressive muscle relaxation as complementary therapy in managing blood pressure among adult with hypertension. This was a quasi-experimental design with pre and post-test with control group approach. Stratified random sampling was done to determine the research area, followed by purposive sampling to recruit the respondents. Sample size was calculated using G-Power analysis. There were 62 respondents for intervention group and 60 respondents for control group. After 12 sessions of PMR in six days, there was a decreased systolic blood pressure to 29.9 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure to 14.7mmHg. PMR significantly decreased systolic and diastolic blood pressure among adult with hypertension. PMR as complementary therapy could be combined with pharmacological therapy to help ensure a maximum decrease in blood pressure","PeriodicalId":254099,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Nursing and Health Sciences","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115911859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The quality of sleep in children is very necessary when sick to boost the immune system in a child's body so that it will help in the healing process of an illness that is experienced. To explore and look for the effect of music therapy on improving the quality of sleep in children during hospitalization. This study used the literature review method with article searches conducted on the Pubmed, Science Direct and Google Scholar electronic databases. There were 1,891 articles on PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar, but only 10 articles met all inclusion criteria and were reviewed. There is an effect of music therapy on improving sleep quality in children during hospitalization. it can be concluded that one of the non-pharmacological therapy programs in improving the quality of sleep in children while being treated at the hospital is using music therapy. This is evidenced by the results of several studies, namely the average quality of sleep in children who underwent hospitalization in the group before and after the administration of music therapy experienced an increase in the quality of children's sleep. Giving music therapy can be given through a tape recorder, MP3 which is usually given at a certain time. Music is received by the hearing organs which are then channeled to the center of the brain called the limbic system which regulates emotions in humans.","PeriodicalId":254099,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Nursing and Health Sciences","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121264920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the research proved that diaphragmatic breathing exercise, slow deep breathing, musical therapy, and foot massage therapy effectively reduced blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
