Even though the studies on woman and gender is recently getting their momentum, the focused attention is not referred to the socio-cultural history of female ulama. This paper is a library research in nature. It attempts to deeply present the role of Fathimahbinti Abdul WahabBugis in the intellectual tradition of Islam Malay. Dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah, semua komponen (stakeholders) harus dilibatkan, termasuk komponen-komponen pendidikan itu sendiri, yaitu isi kurikulum, proses pembelajaran dan penilaian, kualitas hubungan, penanganan atau pengelolaan mata pelajaran, pengelolaan sekolah, pelaksanaan aktivitas atau kegiatan ko-kurikuler, pemberdayaan sarana prasarana, pembiayaan, dan ethos kerja seluruh warga dan lingkungan sekolah. Terlepas dari berbagai kekurangan dalam praktik pendidikan di Indonesia, apabila dilihat dari standar nasional pendidikan yang menjadi acuan pengembangan kurikulum dan implementasi pembelajaran dan penilaian di sekolah, tujuan pendidikan di SMP sebenarnya dapat dicapai dengan baik. Pembinaan karakter juga termasuk dalam materi yang harus diajarkan dan dikuasai serta direalisasikan oleh peserta didik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. The existence of Islamic education is always in contact and grappling with the reality surrounding them. In historical perspective, the struggle between Islamic educations with socio-cultural realities faces two possibilities: influences or is influenced. The consequence is that Islamic education can be defined as a process of enculturation and or facilitation efforts (medium). If referring to the terms of Islam, Islamic education is personified to the term attarbiyah, at-ta'lim, at-ta'dib and ar-riyadah. Each of these terms has different accentuation meanings although it has the same outline. In understanding Islamic education, basic education and its goal formulation becomes noteworthy. Hermeneutics is the art of interpreting the text. It is a theory imported from the West and has been implemented mostly to interpret the Bible. Many scholars who implemented this approach to investigate the Bible showed that Bible is no longer original and many alteration have been made to it. Thus, how could this approach be implemented to understand the Qur‟an? Will it reduce the divinity of the Qur‟an? This article shows that In fact if we look at the meaning of the hermeneutics as stated above, the procedural aspects in understanding the Qur‟an have been available in ulumul Qur‟an. The science of the Qur‟an has proven that the Qur‟an is sacred and divine. It is revealed from God to Muhammad through Jibril. Thus, there is no question of putting the Qur‟an less divine if we implement hermeneutical approach. The rules of the value of Islamic teachings that display moderation in its most beautiful format have made it very easily accepted by every human layer. Moderation in Islam has given a \"guarantee\" of eternal space to the teachings of this religion until the end of time. The main constancy and flexibility in the branch of Islamic teachings, makes it always able to adapt to any situation in all times and times \"shalehun li kulli era wa makan\". Strict basic teachings (tsawabit) and flexible branches (murunah) have provided such a wide space for the existence of ijtihad in Islam that we can be sure that this teaching has not experienced chaos. This moderation of Islam that is \"built in\" God promises to make this religion superior to any religion, and to any ideology produced by humans.Islam strongly opposes the anti-moderation attitude or rather extremism (ghuluw) in any form. Ghuluw's attitude will cause negative impacts and minus excesses for individuals, families, communities, countries, and the world. Extreme attitude in religion will also have a negative impact on religion itself and will cause disasters outside the religion.
