There are variety of leadership dimensions, which evolves to highlight effective forms of leadership, in ensuring the stability of the government's administrative machinery. Using Quinn's (1988) dimensions of leadership, which are applicable to the current situation, 20 items were tested for validity using confirmatory factor analysis from the perspective of managerial groups and professionals from several ministries participated in the study. According to the findings, 17 measurement items have been validated, which demonstrates that two types of leadership exist in ensuring the organization's stability by taking into account the two existing internal and external environments. Failure to maintain control over these two environments will have an impact on the public sector's performance and add to the administration's instability. The ongoing effort to shape leadership must continue. The practical and methodological issues in relation to public leadership constructs are discussed in light of these findings.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"19 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132063568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The disposal allocation in Pit C2 currently has a long distance and there is an additional cost incurred due to the distance rate adjustment from distance contract reference. To overcome this problem, there is an option of short distance disposal scenario, namely in pit dump scenario. With this scenario, there is cost efficiency from the distance rate adjustment due to the reduction in disposal distance. Sump H as a planned area for in pit dump is currently fulfilled with sedimentation material, with a volume around 1,2 million cubic meters (BCM). Therefore, it is necessary for mud handling in Sump H area for it to become in pit dump location area. One of the proposed scenarios is the use of slurry pump, this scenario is more suitable for current condition due to it can finished earlier. However, it is necessary to study and evaluate further the financial analysis of the proposed scenario in comprehensive manner. To obtain the financial feasibility of this project, this research use capital budgeting analysis in which the parameters used are studied further using sensitivity analysis and probability analysis. From the results of the financial feasibility analysis of this slurry pump scenario, it shows that this project is financially feasible with an NPV value of IDR 16.227.951.215,26, with an IRR of 43,08%, a Payback Period of 1,6 years, a Discounted Payback Period of 1,77 years and a Profitability value Index 1,7. In addition, based on the Monte Carlo Simulation for probability analysis, it is found that the probability of this project failing is 0%. Therefore, it can be concluded from the results of the financial feasibility analysis, this project is recommended to be implemented.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115521560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Microfinance institutions (MFI) usually use credit scoring to filter out risky borrowers. Credit scoring method for individual loans has been widely studied. However, none are for group lending where members are women micro-entrepreneurs in a developing country, and jointly responsible for loan repayment. This research try to build a credit default prediction model for microfinance group lending using machine learning techniques. We examine six different machine learning methods, including XGBoost, logistic regression, linear discriminant analysis (LDA), decision trees, k-nearest neighbour (KNN) and random forest. The XGBoost model performs the best during the first modeling phase. With an accuracy of 0.97 and an AUC score of 0.85, it performs better than other models. Decision tree and random forest give comparable outcomes, with AUCs of 0.81 and 0.80 and accuracies of 0.81, 0.95, and 0.97. In an effort to increase performance, class balancing is performed. The XGBoost model's performance was successfully enhanced, resulting in an increase in AUC from 0.85 to 0.89. Its accuracy stays the same as 0.97. False positive and false negative rates for this model are both low (2.05% and 1.38%, respectively). Consequently, the model has been effectively developed and is capable of differentiating between bad and good loans.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133530503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Berau Coal is one of the largest coal companies in Indonesia and Sambarata Mine Operation (SMO) is one of the concession areas of PT. Berau Coal. In 2022, the government approved Annual Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) for company’s coal production of 33,000,000 tons However, based on production parameters, Berau Coal is only able to accommodate as much as 26,000,000 tons. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze operational strategies that could impact coal production in the Sambarata Mine Operation with the current production parameter plan, that suitable for current and future conditions, and determine the implementation plan and strategy performance indicator of the strategy. According to external research analysis, coal prices will remain high in 2022, the global economic recovery will lead to an increase in coal demand, and external parties will have a significant impact on the coal industry. The internal resources of the Sambarata Mine Operation show that there are huge additional coal reserves to improve coal production with support from engineers and contractors. The findings are, the SO and WO strategies are consistent with the economic situation, which predicts that the global economy's recovery will result in high prices and increased demand. The ST and WT strategies are consistent with the global coal industry condition, in which external parties will have a significant impact on the coal industry, requiring PT. Berau Coal must plan for the worst-case scenario. The strategy will be implemented by prioritizing the strategy with the greatest impact on increasing coal production while also being the easiest to implement. In general, the indicator of the strategy's performance will be measured by the actual production in the Sambarata Mine Operation and refer to the actual global economic condition in 2022 and the coal industry demand, especially in the Chinese market.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134433266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pit C2 Block 8 Binungan Mining Operation Area 2 PT Berau Coal is a coal mining operation area with multi-seam characteristics with a slope of coal seams at intervals of 40 – 60 degrees. The characteristics of coal deposits are one of the considerations in the formation of coal mining designs in collaboration with other disciplines, including geotechnical, hydrology, safety and environment, as well as other aspects. PT Berau Coal faces several challenges, risks and uncertainties such as fluctuations in coal prices, production capacity, mining costs and related legal aspects. Therefore, mining planning and strategy must be carried out carefully until PT Berau Coal's mining permit expires in 2025. Financial assessment must accommodate the risks and uncertainties that exist to overcome the weaknesses of the DCF method. The monte carlo symulation method serves as an alternative for creating dynamic quantitative models for mining projects. In this method, the discounted risk factor is applied directly to variables of uncertain sources, such as coal prices, to improve accuracy. Therefore, evaluating long-term mine planning at PT Berau Coal using scenario analysis and Monte Carlo simulation is useful for making better decisions in production, investment and resource allocation schemes. With the results of a financial evaluation of NPV DCF 38mio USD, NPV Monte Carlo 40mio USD, IRR 51%, PI 4.12, and PBP 2.28 years PT Berau Coal will consider and make a decision whether to continue the project considering several risks or cancel the investment and not continue mining in Pit CACD.","PeriodicalId":253813,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business and Technology Management","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130363704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
