{"title":"O strihovom filme Nikdy viac z roku 1958 a jeho vplyve na ďalšie filmy","authors":"Martin Palúch","doi":"10.31577/sd-2022-0005","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31577/sd-2022-0005","url":null,"abstract":"The study explores a specific film form, i.e., compilation film in Slovakia after the Second World War. The author analyses the creation and means of expression of the film Nikdy viac [Never Again] (1958) by director Ctibor Kováč, while taking account of its period propaganda use. Historically, it is the first feature-length compilation film in Slovakia that consciously renounces staging techniques and reenactments, while placing emphasis mainly on the clippings of authentic news footage. These are combined with the reportages from the trials of the members of the Hlinka Guard Emergency Divisions, which took place in April 1958 in Bratislava and in Banská Bys trica in the presence of the general public. By fabricating an image of shame, the rep resentatives of the communist regime, backed by the media, ventured to reckon with the remnants of “clerofascism” that persisted in socialist society from the time of the Slovak Republic between 1939 – 1945. Autor v tejto súvislosti zmieňuje nielen niektoré filmové adaptácie literárnych predlôh z obdobia romantizmu, ale poukazuje aj na základné genologické princípy tohto obdobia a v širšom literárnom a kulturologickom kontexte na kultúrno-spoločenské vplyvy prelomu 18. a 19. storočia na umenie obdobia romantizmu. Štúdia nemá ambíciu komplexne zachytiť otázky vplyvu romantickej poetiky na audiovizuálnu tvorbu, načrtáva iba niektoré tendencie, ktoré sú badateľné vo filmovej tvorbe a ktoré majú korene v romantizme, ale tiež v stredovekom umení, ktoré sa stalo veľkou inšpiráciou pre romantické obdobie. Zubal","doi":"10.31577/sd-2021-0023","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31577/sd-2021-0023","url":null,"abstract":"The study deals with the dramatic works of a writer, professor of the Evangelical Lyceum of the Augsburg Confession in Pressburg, Tobias Gottfried Schröer. As a citizen of German descent striving to avoid the harsh censorship of the time, between 1820 and 1849, he published his works under various pseudonyms. Under his real name, he published only textbooks and three compendia intended for the Lyceum students. In Germany (Leipzig, Hamburg, etc.), he was quite a well-known writer; his short stories, poems and plays were published in various almanacs and collections. His drama work is almost unknown, and the number of his plays (existing as primary sources, including those that are only referred to), we estimate at fifteen so far. They were written approximately between the years 1806 and 1846, which testifies to their author’s lifelong interest in theatre and story dramatizations. A historical drama Leben und Thaten Emerich Tokoly’s und seiner Streitgenossen [The Life and Deeds of Emerich Tököly and His Comrades-in-arms by A. Z.] (1839), published in Leipzig under the pseudonym of A.
