In this perspective, our work is interested in developing a tool to assist in the diagnosis and early detection of cervical cancer based on the interpretation of MRI images of the cervix, the proposed system takes place in three stages: 1-Pretreatment to remove the noise from the image in general; we opted for the K-means method; 2- Segmentation step in which we used the method of growing regions, 3- Classification or decision step that consists through inferences rules deduced from the FIGO classification to decide which stage it is. The results obtained are satisfactory and demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach to detecting the stage of cervical cancer.","PeriodicalId":253361,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 6th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126937260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This controller based on the kinematic and dynamic model of the DDF-WMR as well as that of the actuators, consists of making the robot, from the initial conditions, to a reference trajectory. the proposed algorithm, based on the sliding-mode control strategy, ensures robustness of the robot against of bounded disturbances and uncertainty of model parameters. The stability of this controller is studied using the Lyapunov theory. To show the performances of the proposed algorithm, simulations are done in the Matlab / simulink environment.","PeriodicalId":253361,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 6th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"54 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129484762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, color-image quantization is used to reduce the number of color bins prior to establishing feature extraction step. We modified and applied Improved Grey-Scale (IGS) procedure to obtain optimized feature representations, by mapping a broad dimension of input pixel distributions of an image to a qualified number of outputs (coded pixel values). Thus, to investigate the impact of IGS method using different parameters on system classifications. In order to determine the number of color intensities that are most appropriate for system performance, a set of image-classification tasks were performed using support vector machine classifier on the Coral-1000 dataset. Accordingly, to evaluate the system accuracy, several metrics are considered in terms of precision, recall, and F1 score of each image category in the dataset. Moreover, we present a comparison of three-color optimization methods that generate compact color dimensions while aiming to preserve or enhance image retrieval performance. The results indicate that our IGS-based CBIR system performs better even when color depths are reduced to three bits in each color component.","PeriodicalId":253361,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 6th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123921226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we will focus on the case of the turbulent flow of phosphate slurry through the pipeline linking Khouribga (Morocco) and Jorf-Lasfar (Morocco) over a distance of 187 km. In this study we have presented the ten explicit formulas of the factor <tex>$f$</tex><inf>D</inf> most used in the literature for the slurries case, we evaluated these formulas by comparing their results with the experimental results of the hydraulic gradient <tex>$J$</tex> measurements during the flow of the phosphate slurry. We carried out a succession of computation of <tex>$f$</tex><inf>D</inf> through the explicit formulas, and a succession of experimental measurements of the hydraulic gradient J, we noted that certain formulas of <tex>$f$</tex><inf>D</inf> generated results close to experimental, and others were far. For this we aimed to multiply all the explicit formulas of the <tex>$f$</tex><inf>D</inf> to an adjustment parameter (A) to bring them closer to the experimental results, through this method, we arrived at new explicit formulas for calculating <tex>$f$</tex><inf>D</inf> optimized and adapted for the case of the turbulent flow of the phosphate slurry, and which will be used later in the modeling of the pressure drops.","PeriodicalId":253361,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 6th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133572461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
